Below is an excerpt of what a sister of the Congregation in Taytay Rizal experienced while visiting the Antipolo City Jail! ...Oh! you know what, I went with our church worker last Monday to Antipolo City Jail where we had our Bible study because its a holiday here last Monday - 29 Nov (2004)... I'm afraid of the guy there who's body was full of tattoo, plus his eyes looks like always angry, more or less 50 prisons attended and I was so blessed. The inmates were asking of a copy of the songs we sang there, so I have to type/print it here at work so that we can give the copy to them this coming Monday.... You were asking before if what kind of needs of the inmates we are giving to them.. sad to say, we cannot give them anything because, we have no enough money to buy clothes nor food for them ... As what I have told you before most of the saints there in Taytay were poor.. mostly working only in 5 months contract as sewer and trimmer, then looking for again for a job plus they only earn almost 4 to 5$ a day and they have family... I am the luckiest of them because I have a stable job. My pastor's family also sometimes they had no food to eat, but even that they still served the Lord... His heart longs to spread the gospel everywhere but we are not financially stable but still God is good to us inspire of the difficulties we face daily, we can still survived with God's help. The guy who helped my pastor in doing this Bible study in Jail is so brave enough to preach the gospel. Last Monday he preached about what's behind Revelation 13. Most of the inmates were Roman Catholics so, he need to be brave enough to preached the truth.. Please help us pray about that mission work in jail...
