Above is a dog locked up in the Pendleton County Jail & then he tries to escape. Have you ever seen such a thing? Full story to follow this is too good to pass up and true also. Would you like to know what the deputy told the Jailer about why this dog was locked up? Stay tuned as I will post it when I get all the facts. (August 16, 2004) Here
is the complete story according to former guard Stella Richardson: A
man was walking his dog in Falmouth Kentucky and had just purchased some beer
near the Pendleton County jail when the police stopped him for alleged violation
of public intoxication. The man was arrested and booked in jail on public
drunkenness and his dog was put in the dog house outside the facility but kept
crying for his master who was inside. The dog was then brought into the jail and
was actually given a jail ID (Number) according to Stella Richardson a deputy
jailer. The Jailer Richard Colvin asked the deputy what law had the dog violated
to be locked up! Later the dog became somewhat of a jail mascot as the man and
dog lived near the jail and would visit the jail with his owner.
Pendleton County Jail before being closed for good. The
guards were having some fun pretending to lock up other guards. This was my
first experience at ministering to inmates in Falmouth Kentucky. Notice the
small kitchen also the booking station. Here was my home church (at the time) with the jail in the
background straight ahead! We visited once every 3 weeks! We would pray and walk
next door the inmates were very receptive. We once were locked in a jail cell
preaching to the inmates! Above are thumbnails of the Kenton County Detention Center
in Covington, Ky where I ministered for three years! Congo Prison Photo's click here Kipushi
