EMPTY OUT
MINISTRY EXPLAINED CHICAGO IL 56-1001
E-57 057 How do you know? Taste and see. Give God a chance. See if He will take it, and give you glory for your misery; see if He will give you happiness for your gloom; see if He will give you health for your sickness; see if He will give you the Holy Ghost for your theology. Try it and see. Taste and see the Lord is good. Let's give Him a chance.
And the queen said, "I'll go see for myself." Now, I want you to notice what a sacrifice. When you come to see God, you don't just come on a flower bed of ease; you have to make a sacrifice. It's a sacrificial way. It's a way of death. You have to die out to come to Him.
You have to forget all you ever knowed in order to
learn of Him. Empty out that He can fill us. You don't mix it now. You have to
empty out.
BELIEVE FROM THE
HEART JEFF IN 57-0623
E-46 046 A man's work declares his character. Christ was God's work. And Christ declared God's character, His feeling for the sick, His longing for saving of souls, till even He gave His own life. God's work... God's character was declared in Christ.
And if you can just empty your own intellectual
thoughts out and give God the right of way, He can declare His character
through the work of your yielding. Empty out; get the world, get your doubts
out of the way.
If you come to the altar to be prayed for, say, "I'll
go up and see if I get healed," God can never declare His works. You've
got to get your own thoughts out of the way and let Him fill you.
Now, the way I've noticing these things... Like this old bull up here was going to kill me that time, like them hornets back out yonder by the fence, like many other things that'll taken place, the bear in the woods, it's a study of nature. It's something that happens.

24-6 073 Confess your faults, say, "God..." If you've done anything to somebody say, "I'll go back and make it right." Do that now. Now, I want each one of you now, as I say this prayer, I want you to pray it. You say it out loud with me. I'm just going to say it, but you pray it from your heart. With your heads bowed, eyes closed, everybody, don't raise your head till I say so. I'm just looking to see what I can see.
Say this behind me: Almighty God, Creator of heavens and
earth, Author of Everlasting Life, Giver of every good gift, be merciful to me,
O God. Forgive my unbelief. I believe the Gospel. I believe that You're here. I
believe that you're now performing Your Word in my body. Open the channels. I
empty out my unbelief. I receive Your Spirit. I believe that You're in
me now. I believe my sickness will vanish.
How can death and life exist in my body when You are in there? I believe You, and I accept You now as my Healer.
SPOKEN WORD
ORIGINAL SEED JEFF IN 62-0318M
60-1 174 Now, others will go by and say, "Well, you know what, I believe I'll try it a while." You'll choke. That's right. See? But when you really empty out, say, "Lord Jesus, no more of me, but You from this on," (See?) then it's going to bring forth a hundredfold. You believe that? I believe it too. Well, it's with liberty and justice for all. That's right. Yes, sir. I pledge my allegiance to my Lord (See?) to preach His Word and to stand on His Truth if it costs my life. I'll still go on just the same.
For I would... it would be a great thing for me, not
wanting to do it, but if I had to do it, will mingle my blood in this earth
like those who mingled their blood for the same thing, like those who died in
the pits of the lions; like those who died on the crosses; those who were sawed
asunder, that was kicked out of their organizations and wandered about in
sheepskins and goatskins, and was destitute. It would be a great privilege for
me as the disciples of Christ return back and it count it all joy because they
were able to stand the reproach that was brought on His Name. They could suffer
that for Him, their little suffering. I don't want to suffer; nobody wants to
suffer. I would like to join my hands with all the denominations, say,
"Brethren, let's go." I'd like to do that. If I do, I take my hand
out of His. Far be it from me ever doing that. If I stand alone, I stand
with Him and His Word.

E-85 085 That's the way God does. He just--just pulls it right over them. They set there, ignorant as jack rabbits. Set there... He said... But what'd they do? They don't try to have any wisdom of their own. They can't figure it out. You're not supposed to figure it out. You're supposed to believe it.
Said, "Take shittim wood." It's just--just--just as light, like a sponge. But now, notice. After he got all that shittim wood destructed, constructed rather, He said, "Go and take pitch, and soak it up." Oh, how did they get pitch in them days? They took another kind of tree, pine tree, and they beat it, and beat it until the pitch run out of it.
What's it a type of, the timber God's got today? Empty out all your old fanatic stuff; empty out all your organizations; get real light and just lay before God. Then He beat One of us. "He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquity." He was beat, and wounded, and bruised at Calvary, that His Spirit might pour into you when you have nothing.

And you know the ark was made out of shittim wood. And if
you ever know what that was, it's lighter than balsam. It's nothing... It's
just like a sponge, so light you could pick up a great big beam
of it and hold it in one hand. And wouldn't it seem strange that God would
construct His ark out of such a thing as that? [Blank.spot.on.tape--Ed.]... and
pour it into this to fill up the pores. And then it become harder than
steel.
And that's the way we have to do, is empty out every
creed, everything that's in us, and every nonsense, and every ungodly unbelief,
that the Holy Spirit might fill us, and seal every pore of our believing, every
pore of our minds, until you won't notice whether it's your neighbor, or who it
is setting around you. You're sealed into the Kingdom of God. Then you can
stand the buffet of the waves as you go through a persecution.

60 045 I had come down from--from--come up from Arizona to meet a bunch of brethren here, that goes hunting with me up in Colorado each year. Now, some people has wondered, "Why do you go hunting? What makes you?" See, here you are filling up; I'm emptying out. There I'm filling up so I can empty out. See? Now, I don't go just to shoot game. Why, people, anyone here that goes with me, knows that I passed by hundreds of head of game and never even touch them. I don't.
