DECISIONS

PROPHET ELISHA    CHICAGO IL  54-0723

E-10   010   Now, they went off in such a hurry, without even considering God. And when they found out the seven days was up, well, their water supply was cut off. They didn't have any water to drink. And there they was out there with their cattle, and with their animals, and their water supply was cut off. And looks like that it was just about the end for them.

Now, that's what we do. Sometimes we go off on a tantrum somewhere and not think about God, not pray over it, ask the Lord whether we should do it or not, and we find out that our supply of blessings is cut off. Then we wonder sometime, "Well, wonder why I can't have no more blessings." You don't watch, you let down in your prayer life. You say, "Well, I'm a Christian." Well, that's the more sign you should pray, more than ever. Read the Bible every day. Pray every day. Don't make any decisions too harshly or too quickly, without first considering God about it. Ask Him, "Shall I do this, Father?" Ask Him, "Is it Your will for me to do this?" Then see what the Holy Spirit will speak to you. He might not give you a vision, but He will speak in some way to you, to let you know, if you'll be sincere and ask Him.

REDEMPTION    SAN FERNANDO CA  55-1119

E-42   042   But Ruth, not so, a type of the Bride, when her mother-in-law said, "Now, Ruth, you return back."...

She said, "As the Lord liveth, I'll not leave you. I'll go with you. Your people will be my people. Your God shall be my God. And your... Where you die, I'll die. Where you're buried, I'll be buried." Making her choice...

That's where every man has to come to in life sometime, is make a decision. You have to make a choice. You had to make a choice whether you was going to have an education or not. You had to make a choice who was going to be your wife. You had to... There has to be decisions and choices made in life. And this may be the night that you'll have your final call to make your choice, whom you're going to serve. Maybe your final time laying here, dad, on the stretcher, you, mother, over there, young lady. It may be your final time to make your choice.

But Ruth, beautiful... I wish we had time to dig into those old nuggets and bring them out, but we haven't. We'll just have to hit the highlights.

MIGHTY CONQUEROR   JEFF IN  56-0401

E-24   024   But as they went along on the road that morning, I can just see them... Oh, my. The greatest blow that ever happened to them... Here they was on the road. They'd left their church, excommunicated for following Him. They thought surely He would do something triumph there at the grave. Then they were taken from their church. They couldn't return to church anymore, and they'd be branded and mocked at, laughed at, made fun of. That's the way a man does when he really sells out for Christ. He has to cut every shoreline to walk alone with Christ, Him alone.

And men and women of this world who's ever amounted to anything, are men and women who has predominately taken Christ for their Saviour and stood alone in their decisions. It'll be the same way with every man here this morning or every woman, boy or girl. If you ever wished to amount to anything, go forward with God. Don't trust your church. Don't trust your preacher, your rabbi, your priest, but stand alone in Christ Jesus. It's the only way you can do it. Don't...

INFALLIBILITY OF GOD'S WORD   CHICAGO.IL  56-0404

E-62   062   Say, "What difference does it make if I raise my hand or not?"

Oh, brother, Jesus said, "He that will witness to Me before men, I'll witness of him before God." It's a decision; it's something you got to make. You've got to make decisions. You had to make a decision who you was going to make your wife. You had to make your decision whether you was going to buy the car or not, whether you was going to buy the house or not. God bless you, sir. You have to make a decision. You got to make a decision some time. God bless you, lady. God will bless you; sure He will. I believe it.

What's the greatest word that one man could say to another? "God bless you." That's it. If God will bless me, that's the best thing I can have. That's all I want, God to bless me; the rest of it's all right.

TIME IS AT HAND    CHICAGO  L  56-0408E

E-17   017   And the time that... Every fellow has to come to a time where you make a decision. There's got to be a time where you make your decision of whether you're going to be married or not. Then the decision that you and your girlfriend has to make, whether you are going to live together or get married or not. There's all kinds of decisions to be made in life, and they'll linger long for a certain period, and then a time comes where it's got to be settled. That's the last time; it's got to happen now one way or the other.

And Christian friend, I believe that we're living in the end time, that when all things that was written in the Bible, it's time now for all these things to come to pass. And I believe that the very things that we see happening now, it's just exactly in season with God's Word.

TIME OF DECISION   CHICAGO IL  59-0611

E-10   010   I want to take a text tonight called this: "The Time Of Decision." I want to read from Genesis 24:58, just one verse.

And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Wilt thou go with this man? And she said, I will go.

You know, we have been forced to make decisions. There is times when we have to come to the place where we got to say "yes" or "no." That's just in human life. There's a time where we cannot stand neutral. And if God shall permit, I don't believe that we'll be able to leave this church tonight in the same conditions we did when we come in to it. If the Holy Spirit shall come and do His work among us, then we are forced to say "yes" or "no." We cannot remain the same.

TIME OF DECISION   CHICAGO IL  59-0611

E-11   011   And the time had come for Abraham, the great patriarch and servant of God, to make a decision. And this decision was, that he was to decide just on who his son, Isaac, that he'd waited twenty-five years for, and had received him as one from the dead, and knowed that he was a called and separated messenger of God... And there was a time come when he had to make the decision: Who would be his helpmate to carry on the plan of God?

You see, God don't make all of our decisions. And there's many times that God doesn't tell His prophets just what to do, because they have to make the decision. If there is no decision that we have to make, just wait every move on God, then there is no overcoming on our part. And sometimes, they make the wrong decision. God's anointed prophets makes the wrong decisions, and many times are deceived.

TIME OF DECISION   CHICAGO IL  59-0611

E-19   019   And He sent the Angels of--the Angel of heaven will go before you. Oh, yes, there is times when you have hard decisions to make. There's times when you... Maybe in your middle age, you have your last earning. And you put a little here, and a little there. But now, you've got to a place, maybe, that that money has to be invested somewhere. You've got to make a decision where you will put that money. And before you invest that money, you'll first, find a place where it's safely put.

Oh, we have things today that just get rich over night: Invest it here, and tomorrow you're a millionaire. But you wouldn't put your money in such a place as that, because it's your life's earnings.

But what will you do? With sober and sincerity, you'll search for an old reliable firm that's been tested and proved, one that's safe. And there you'll invest your money, because you don't want none of this fly-by-night.

TIME OF DECISION    CHICAGO IL  59-0611

E-31   031   And then there was another great decision had to be made. Then after she was given, then the parents said, "Well, I would... Lets just let her stay around about ten days." Let her hang around the revival to really feel whether she has decided to do it or not. I haven't got much confidence in a person make a decision to wait even until tomorrow.

But the message had stirred Rebekah. She was satisfied the message was from God.

So the parents said, "Oh, let her stick around awhile. She'll get over it. It's just a little excitement. She was over to that revival, you know, and..."

But, oh, Then the true servant said, "Don't--don't weary us. Don't hinder me." A lot of the servants of God has been hindered by put-off decisions. "Don't hinder me, seeing that the Lord has sent me, seeing that he's been good to me. Don't hinder me."

Then they said, "Let her make her own decision." That's where you stand tonight. Make your own decision.

Then they called Rebekah and said, "Will you go with this man, or do you want to stay around a little while to see whether you really want to do it."

She said, "I will go." She was ready. Her decision was quickly made. She knowed there'd Something'd been leading her. She knowed something had happened to her. And she knew that It was God, and she was satisfied. She wanted to go quickly.

So she put on her garment. And she got all the gifts that was sent to her by the father to meet the son. Oh, God, if the Church could only make that decision right quick. Put on all of her gifts, and she climbed up on the camel and took out.

TIME OF DECISION    CHICAGO IL  59-0611

E-32   032   And it was in the evening time when Isaac had wandered from the tent out into the fields to meditate. And when he seen the camels coming...

Rebekah looked at him, and then it was love at the first sight. She had to believe it before she went. Faith cometh by hearing. She didn't know what the man looked like, and it didn't make no difference. It was God making the decisions.

I don't care whether He's big or little, what color He is. That makes me no difference. He's my Lord. I'll love Him when I see Him, because He's God's gift to me and to you.

THY SEED SHALL POSSESS THE GATES   SAN JOSE CA  59-1121

E-36   036   Now, don't think about what's wrong with you. Just think about Him when we sing it again. Think about, "Do I love Him? Is my--is my love sufficient for Him? Have I loved and put Him first? When I wake up at morning, do I--first thing I do praise Him? All through the day do I praise Him? In my decisions do I ask myself, 'Is it Your will, Lord?' Do I really put Him first in everything? Does He come first?" If He does, let's just sing it again and think of it.

I love Him, (first) I love Him

 Because He first loved me

 And purchased my salvation

 On Calvary's tree.

CONFERENCE WITH GOD   JEFF IN  59-1220M

E-24   024   Then I can call in my memory another conference of a runaway prophet that had got weak in his decisions. And he thought the task was too great. And he had run away, and married him a wife, and got back into the wilderness, and been there for forty years, a prophet, anointed of God with a great commission, borned in the world a prophet. But yet, at the very threat of his mistake he had did, to take it in his own hands... Instead of following the instructions of God, he killed a man. And at the threat and the fear of Pharaoh, he run into the wilderness, and there was forty years.

And the slaves of Egypt, the task was so great; their backs was so sore; their hearts was so broken, until their cries come before God, till He was forced to a conference.

There's a way of forcing a conference. You can do it in your life, a showdown.

KINSMAN REDEEMER    JEFF IN  60-1002

87   042   "Well, Lord, if You'll just bless me and do this for me, I'll do so-and-so." That's not a decision.

"God, I don't care what you do with me; I'll go anyhow. If I die, all right. Live or die, or whatever, if they laugh at me, make fun of me, don't make any difference, I'll go anyhow." That's clean cut decisions, like Rebekah made 'fore she even seen Isaac.

Her parents said, "Let the girl answer. The girl, she's of age, let her answer."

She said, "I'll go": clean cut decision, quickly made. She clave to it. That's what Ruth did. Orpah went back.

TRUE EASTER SEAL   JEFF IN  61-0402

60   030   Now, Easter has, and seals, and so forth, is all through the Bible. We find them, they're as old as the Bible is; all the way back into the garden of Eden we find it. And then we find that anything that we find anywhere in the Bible, goes back to Genesis. It all started in Genesis.

And then I was thinking that, what I had in my mind as Easter Seal, then I wondered why that it was so rejected, and how that people would refuse it. Why was it so condemned? And I was thinking then that it's not always condemned, and all people doesn't condemn it.

But God has so made a way, that man is placed into a position to where he's forced to make a decision. Man cannot live on earth without making a decision. God forces the issue to him. He must make some decision. And there's a time when you have to make a decision of schooling, you have to make a decision of who you'll marry. And you have to make decisions of different things.

MARRIAGE OF THE LAMB   PHOENIX AZ  62-0121E

E-28   028   If you notice, it said, "She has made herself ready." So many says, "If the Lord will take this evil spirit from me, from drinking, or from gambling, or from lying, or stealing, I'll serve Him." But that's up to you. You got to do something too. "They that overcome shall inherit all things," they that overcome. You have power to do it, but you must be willing to lay it down. See? She has made herself ready. I like that Word.

You see, God could not push us through a little pipe, pull us out on the other end, and then say, "Blessed is he that overcometh." You had nothing to overcome; He just pushed you through. But you've got to make decisions for yourself. I have to make decisions for myself. In doing that, we show our faith and respects to God.

LETTING OFF THE PRESSURE   JEFF IN  62-0513E

45   021   Everybody... It's just becoming a--a neurotic age. Everybody's all built up, haven't got no time. And that builds up to a place that it breaks up things, it causes people to have hard feelings when they snap them off and--and say things you don't mean to say.

Now, everybody's guilty of it. I'm guilty; you're all guilty, We--we do things under pressure that we wouldn't do otherwise. So they's a--they's an excess pressure built up today. I believe, before I go any farther I might say this: I believe it's the enemy coming down and pressing. I believe it's the devil.

And we know the coming of the Lord is at hand, and the Bible said in the last days that the devil would go about like a roaring lion. And if he could get you under pressure, hurrying, running over something, you'll make decisions that you wouldn't make if you'd set down and think it over.
