E-22 022 Now, the reason that that little compartment that's in your heart... God molded you that way. That was for a purpose. That little place in your heart... All the rest of your body belonged to hi... to you, but that heart belongs to God. That God made Hisself a little room in there, so He could set in the controlling tower that He could guide you. Blessed be His holy Name. Oh, if we would let Him be the pilot and the Holy Ghost the co-pilot, we would be guided over the sea of life. It's His control room.

But what did man do? He listened to his fellow man and accepted the Devil in there. And the Devil come into it, and he guides him to the things that he can see. God guides him to the things that He said.

No wonder people can't believe in Divine healing with the Devil setting up there saying, "Don't you believe it."

"Yes, sir, Mr. Devil, that's right."

But God sets in the heart and makes His Word real to every one that believes it. Though it may not come to pass, maybe they can't do it, but they believe it anyhow, because God said so.

E-7 007 When God made man, He made him thus; for He made this little certain compartment in the man for His own throne, His control tower. God wants to lead man, but man wants to lead himself. Therefore there is a war constantly. The man wants to go after what he sees with his eyes. That's where he's deceived. That's where Satan deceived Eve, by what she could see; the fruit was pleasant to the eye. But it was death to the soul.

So is it tonight. God wants to lead man, so He made Himself a little control tower in the midst of his heart, so that man would be led by the Spirit of God. Getting off on his own leading is what separated him from His fellowship. Looking what he could see with his eye...

And that's where he stands yet tonight, all those who are led by such things. But the Scripture says that, "Sons and daughters of God are led by the Spirit of God." Your emotions is your control. And you can notice, a man or a woman that tries to walk after the things of the world, they never can please God. But a man or a woman that will not look at the things of the world, but just go according to the leading of the Spirit, they're usually in the will of God. That is the great fight tonight. Satan took the eye, a man's head, to control him by his head. God took his heart.

E-8 008 Man's always trying to achieve something by his head. He's supposed to achieve, but by his heart. That's the control tower where God controls him, and directs his thoughts, directs his walks, directs his emotions. Sometimes I get so happy I just have to let it loose. And if I'd look around and see somebody, then, see, I got my eyes on people then. But God help me to keep my eyes closed. I want to just be led by the Spirit of God that the flesh will have nothing to do into it.

Usually ministers when they get into the pulpit, they begin to think, "If I speak on a certain certain thing, here is a certain member of my church that's a--a good pay in this church; they'll leave the church." And then you go to looking at the flesh again. Then God can't lead that minister. You've got to say what the Spirit says to say. Then we are led by the Spirit of God.

And we find that this man is controlled by a control tower. And that tower makes him what he is. It moves him. It's his emotions. He lives by it.

E-15 015 Now, if God can come on the control tower... And when the... "My sheep know My voice." Well now, if these--all these strange voices in the world of this social Gospel that just belong to church and that's all is necessary, why hasn't it done something? It's done nothing but confuse the people. What we need tonight is a unified church, filled with the Holy Ghost and power from on high, led by the Spirit of the living God on the control tower, that won't say, "Because I'm a Baptist and he's a Methodist, I'll have nothing to do with him." A real true Spirit of God will recognize his brother or sister, I don't care what kind of a brand he's wearing. Oh, we need the leadership again of the Holy Spirit, walking after the unseen, the way that God leads us. The things that we see are temporal. The things that we do not see are eternal.

E-20 020 If these people here in these wheelchairs, and on these cots, and you that's sick to die, if you could just hear the Word of God tonight... Don't try to figure it out; don't think how long you've been sitting, how long you've been sick; think about what God said. And there comes a pulsation of the Holy Spirit in your heart saying, "It's the truth."

"How do you know it's the truth?" said the devil.

"I know it's the truth. It's God's Word; it's the truth." Something begins to pulsate in your bosom that it is the truth. Then make ready; you're coming out of there, just as certain as I stand in this pulpit tonight. Don't look at what you see, how bad I'm crippled, how sick I am, what the doctor said; don't look at that; look at the unseen, what God said. Before you feel any different, before the pain leaves, before the hand moves, before the eye can see one sight, yet make ready, for it's going to come, as long as that pulsation begins to rise in your bosom, in your heart where God sets on the control tower. Now, I get religious, about this time.

E-24 024 Every borned again child tonight comes through Abraham's blessing. For it's the promises given to Abraham. And every child of God that receives the Holy Spirit, his pulsation is the same. "I'm looking for a city." It isn't Los Angeles. It isn't New York. It isn't Louisville. It's heaven. And we confess that we're peculiar people, strangers, because we're looking for something that we do not see. But something on the control tower says it's there. Every redemptive blessing between here and there, God promised to give it to us. And we're walking; we're pilgrims. I don't care what so and so says; I know something in me tells me it's real. I just start walking, looking, praising, confessing, sure, because it's got to fall. The Kings of kings is the One Who pronounced it.

E-22 022 Now, is that the way you accepted Jesus? Jesus don't want to come in like that. When He's knocking at your heart [Brother Branham knocks two times--Ed.], when He comes in He wants to be your Lord. "Lord" is "rulership." He comes into your heart, knowing that He made that heart for Himself. All the rest of the body you can have, but the heart is the control tower; and He wants to come to this heart, so He can lead you, be a Lord. You want Him as your Saviour but not your Lord.

So many people say, "Oh, I want Him as my Saviour; I've accepted Him as my Saviour."

That's good, but have you accepted Him as your Lord, to be ruler over you, to rule you, to guide you, to walk into that door of your private life and clean the closet out? Take His own Blood and paint it on the walls...

237 101 Now, the first throne was in heaven, judgment seat. The second throne was in Christ; the third throne is in man.

Now, let me take this little thing that I got drawed here. We're going to make... I wished I had a blackboard, and I could make it maybe more sensible for you. We're going to take and draw the courts, only make it in a round ring, or like this, either one. Now, we're going to take... I believe, like this maybe would be the best; we're going to take and make the courts.

Now, what is a man? He's a triune being: body, soul, and spirit. How many knows that? Watch God's approach. What is his heart? You remember my message, "God Chose a Man's Heart for His Control Tower?" The Devil chose his head for his control tower. See? He makes him see things, look through his eyes. But yet God in his heart makes him believe things that he cannot see. See? See, God is on his heart; in the heart of man is the throne of God. You get it? Man... God made His throne in the heart of man.

Now, watch. What's the first part of the man? The first part of the man is body. The next part is his soul, which is the nature of his spirit that makes him what he is. He approaches now. Now, the third part of the man is his spirit, and his spirit is in the center of his heart, and in the center of the heart is where God comes for the throne.

E-18 018 Now, for instances when a man gets saved, he's just about like... The Light that comes into him is about like this little white button on my shirt. That's when God comes into the inner part of a man. In the inner part of a man or... A man is made up in the system of a tabernacle: in the outer courts, then holy place, and the holiest of holies; the Shekinah glory on the inside, the veil.

Now, on the outside gates of a man is his five senses that enters to his body. On the inside, which is his soul, or the... The--the soul is the nature of the spirit that's on the inside of his heart; produces his soul, which makes the atmosphere around him. He has also five entrances.

Then on the inside he has only one gate, one entrance to go into the Shekinah glory, where God can enter into him and take over in the control tower. And that way is through self-will. Whether you will to or not, that's up to you. But that's the only avenue that's open to the man that God can come into his heart, is by self-will. Puts him right back like Adam and Eve on free moral agency again. You can choose right or wrong, either one you want to.

E-29 029 And that's what's the matter today. What makes people drink, and lie, and steal, and commit adultery, and do and act the way they do? It's not because we haven't got something to satisfy that. It's because that they take a substitute for the real thing. They try to hush that... quench that holy thing inside of their heart.

When God made a man, he gave him... He let... The devil took his head. God chose his heart. The devil through his imagination makes him imagine anything--gives him intellectual conceptions of the Scripture. But God gets in his heart and leads him by the Spirit; makes him believe things that his intellectual don't know nothing about. Amen! That makes me feel a little religious when I think of that, see.

When God gets a hold of a man, he comes into his heart. That's God's control tower. And the reason people drink, smoke, gamble, lie, steal, and carry on the way they do, they're trying to satisfy that longing in their heart. God made them that way, so He could come in there and satisfy every longing that you have. But, how dare anybody to try to hush that precious thing with the things of the world?

80 050 Oh, and remember, in order to get--be an astronaut, they had to get in a tank, and they can't control themselves. It takes a radar power, an atomic power to lift him out beyond space, and then he's controlled by a tower. Amen. Glory. God's spiritual astronauts is the same. They come into a tank, and into a place, into a body, and that body is the Body of Christ. Then it's not them, it--it's not. It wasn't John Glenn; it was--it was the tank that he was in. It was the machine. He just set there; he didn't do nothing. He just had the real pure courage to get up there and say it's right, because science had proved it.

69 029 Natural astronaut is--has a something to control him. When the astronaut is in the air, he has something backwards here, back down here on the earth, that controls him. It's called radar. That radar moves him around, shows where he's at, tells what he's doing. And that radar controls him from a radar tower, here on earth. That's the natural astronaut.

So the spiritual astronaut has a control power, has a control tower too. It's not down here like man is. It's up there. And it's the Holy Ghost that's in him that's controlling him. A tower of the baptism of the Holy Ghost, it's under control, keeps him in control by the Word; not in a bunch of fanaticism, some whooped up nonsense, but THUS SAITH THE LORD, and it happens. It's always under control. He's got a control tower, that's the Holy Ghost. And the Word is his--his program. And he lays right into that program. And the power of the Holy Ghost endows him to move out, and it brings the achievement that God wants to be achieved for His people, that it might fulfill what He promised.

88 041 The Word molds God's character to us. And anything that tried to be mixed with that character breaks the mold. You can't mix creed with Word. You can't mix the world with the Word. Jesus said you can't serve God and mammon. "Mammon" means "the world." You can't be one or the other. "If you love the world or the things of the world, the love of God's not even in you." Is that true? Then, you see, you can't mix it.

You can't mix oil and water. It just won't mix. You can churn it up and down, do anything you want to; it won't mix.

And your character will not mix with the world, if you are being molded in the form of God, by letting the mind that was in Christ be in you. That's the control tower, the direction.

THIRST TUCSON AZ 65-0919

23 010 Now, the word I want to speak from tonight, one word out of the Bible, and that is found in the 2nd verse, "Thirst," the word of "Thirst." I was looking in the dictionary when I was looking up this word.

I was thinking about a--a sermon one time I preached on "Thirsting After Life." And I took it out of the Psalms too, when David said, "Thy statutes," I believe, "are more precious to me than life."

Then I was looking and thinking about that word "thirst," so I looked up in the dictionary to see what it means. And here's what Webster says, "It's a painful desire," a painful, when you want something so bad until it becomes painful to you.

Now, it's--it's not a unnatural thing to thirst. Thirst is a--a natural thing. It's just simply something that God has given us, that we could, to give us a--a desire for something. Sometimes God has also, has given you a--a control tower, something that sets inside of you, that--that controls these different desires. And this thirst, this control tower that sets in a man's heart, is something that God give him to--to warn him of the desires that's needful for him.

29 012 Now, we find, God gives the control tower to you, to give to you the things that you need. Now, the control tower in you is what directs you. And this thirst runs in on this cold--tower, control tower, and tells you what you have need of, spiritually speaking. The control tower in the body, and in the soul also. There's a control tower in the body that tells you the need that's needed in your body, and it's brought to you by thirst. Also there's a control tower in your soul, that tells you the spiritual things that you have need of, something in your spirit, and--and you by this can tell what kind of a life is controlling you.

When you--when you can see what your desires are, then you can tell by that what kind of something that's in you, that's creating this desire that you have. See, there's a certain thing that you thirst for, and it--and it can tell you in your soul what this desire is by the nature of the thirst that you have. I hope that you can understand that.

31 013 There is a--a control tower of the soul, and one for the body, and each tower is a warning caller for the needs of the other. Each one calls to the need for what the caller is calling for; it sends out a wave of warning.

For instance, the--the flesh thirsts to satisfy the desires that's in the body, and the spirit desires for the things that's in the soul desire is, and many times these war one against the other. We find there, what's a great trouble today, that too many people try to live between those two desires. For one of them desires the things of the earth; the other desires the things of heaven.

311 131 That little inside of the inside, that's where you start, which is your soul; then come from that, you're a spirit; and then you become a living being. Now, the living being has five senses to contact; the second has five senses. That's the outside body; see, taste, feel, smell, and hear. The inside body has love and conscience, and so forth: five senses. But the inside of the inside, the control tower, it's either God or Satan.

And you can mimic any of these things you can contact, like--like the--like the Christian; or you could cast out devils, like a Christian. But the inside control tower, the beginning, the origin isn't of God, it'll never return to God. You understand it? Did not Judas cast out devils? Did not Caiaphas, the one who condemned Him and put Him to death, even prophesy? But he couldn't stay with the Word. See? That's right

207 092 Now, notice that, it's got to be. Five, f-a-i-t-h, outside; spirit, J-e-s-u-s; on the inside, y-o-u. See? That's how standing here looking at you, I don't know a one of you. The spirit can anoint me, still I don't know none of you. But when that inside of the inside breaks in, that's God.

That's where the outside can reason. You take a man, say, "Well, you know, I--I know I'm not supposed to commit adultery. But, you know, then the spirit tells me I shouldn't commit adultery. But, you see, way down in there is still that thing in there." See, it'll kinda govern around, and better watch it.

But when it's directed from the inside, it throws all the rest of it together. That's the guidepost. That's the control tower, the inside of the inside. The soul controls the spirit, the spirit controls the body.

So an outside whitewash don't make any difference. Them religious people back there, that Paul called "whited walls," and so forth, they were outward just every way the--a believer, and they had prophesies among them, and everything else but the inside of the inside... "The soul that disbelieveth..."

That's the reason I say people can jump up and down, and speak in tongues; people can shout, lay hands on the sick, and heal the sick and so forth by faith; all these great things there by the Spirit, still be lost. Anointed ones...
