CongoPrisonMinistries

Fellowship Tabernacle, Highland Heights, Kentucky USA)
This is quite an ongoing story, almost like
a dream when you stop and look what a few brothers in the Lord have done by
inspiration of the Holy Ghost. Brother Billy Diabasenga has returned to Congo, while Brother Richard Katumbe is in the Congo
also working a
full time job and ministering to inmates
in at least three major prisons. The pastor Placide Kwamba has been involved also
in the CongoPrisonMinistries. Soon they will have their own sub domain on this
web site with their own statistics. Browse for yourself and please stop back as
we await more information as well as pictures of the prisons Richard is
visiting. (bro. Ron Harr 1-28-04)
How
The Doctrine Came To
Congo
Brother
Richard Katumbe, a Deacon in
Congo
, happened to visit Prison Ministries
through Message Links website. He
was so inspired by this web site that he decided to start a Prison Ministry in
Congo. The result was outstanding. His Pastor Placide Kwamba became soon
involved in this ministry as well as some other church brothers of Lys
Tabernacle, in
Lubumbashi
,
Congo
.
Of
course, as a pastor, Brother Kwamba inquired on some pastoral issues, on which
my Prison Ministry advised him to
contact the Message Doctrine web
site. Pretty soon, the Message Doctrine website attracted the attention of many
other brothers in that church in
Congo
. In August 2001, Brother Billy Diabasenga, from that same church, felt led to
translate some of those Doctrinal Studies into French. In February 2002, the
books done into French were sent to Reverend Brian Kocourek to have them posted
to the web. Many churches and brothers are now being edified by those French
Studies in more than 20 countries.

Excerpt
from a letter to PrisonMinistries
from Brother Richard Katumbe on December 16, 2003.
"I
done my first step in prison ministries by following your footprint. After
looking at your website (three years ago) on the chance, I get and fortify
inspiration. Today I have many brethren who are helping me in prison ministries.
Now the prison ministries in Congo is a reality. Remember also from that mail, I
asked you to allow me to use the name PrisonMinistries. I just add Congo before
and then it became CongoPrisonMinistries."
Brother
Richard Katumbe is now heading Congo Prison Ministries which is going into three
major prisons in the Congo. The Prison visited are in these cities in Congo-Kipushi, Lubumbashi, and Likashi.
