AT THY WORD CONNERSVILLE IN 53-0608E
E-19 019 Well, maybe tonight you might have seined
through every doctors office in the country. Maybe you've been to healing
meetings and been anointed a many times. But tonight, "At Thy Word,
Lord, here I come." That's the way it is. "At Thy Word, Lord,
I'm going to let down the net, 'cause You told me if I'd ask anything in
Your Name, You'd do it. And I believe that's the truth, and I'm letting down
the net right now at Your command."
Don't
be afraid; ask a whole lot. You have not
because you ask not. You ask not because you believe not. That's right. "Ask,
and you shall receive; seek, you shall find; knock, it'll be opened." That's
God's Word.
Now, we'll let down for the draught. I can see that old apostle running that big seine out there in the water, getting ready. And when he begin to pull on the net, made a couple pulls, there wasn't nothing. After while something begin to tug, begin to take a hold. Just let down one time and try it. The little effort you might not feel much. The second little effort you might not. May go several efforts. But after while you feel a tugging. Something caught a hold. Something's on the other end of the line.
E-34 034 It was in Jairus' house, where the doctors had failed, and turned a little girl back to the--to be--to die. And death had come in, and taken it's bitter toll, and had taken the only child of the home, the little girl of twelve, and stretched her out on a couch.
When a broken hearted, little preacher had to forsake his denomination and all of his friends, but he remembered that there was a God of history Who could raise the dead, and he went to find Him. "Seek and ye shall find; knock and it'll be opened unto you; ask and it shall be given unto you." He's still the same God.
FAITH IS OUR VICTORY JEFF IN 58-1004
E-66 066 I hope I'm not fanatically, but it just seems to me now, just like I go into my room, pull the door together, enter into a secret closet and close the door. I just close off all the audience from around now. See? "And pray to your Father, Who seeth in secret, and He that seeth in secret shall reward you openly. Ask and it shall be given; seek, ye shall find; knock and it'll be open. For every one that seeth findeth." Imagine Him here now, that you see on the picture now, the Light, the Halo. It isn't far. It's the discerner of the thoughts. It's Christ. "A little while... I come from God, and I will return to God." He did, went right back to what He was. When He comes again, He will be in a corporal body, like He was the Lord Jesus.
ALL THE DAYS OF OUR LIFE CHICAGO IL 59-0612
E-33 033 And while we're praying, would anybody like
to be remembered in prayer? Raise up your hand, say, "Remember me,
God." Oh, that's good. God bless you. "I want to be marked by God. I
want to be His bondservant. I want to be so in love with Jesus, that all the
things of--desirable in my life of this world will be crucified, and I'll be
more like Jesus each day. I'll be so much like Him, till others will see Jesus
in me. That's the way I want my life hid." There be others who would raise
their hands that hasn't. God bless you, all around, up in the balcony. That's
good. God bless you. Let's bow our heads humbly now and pray. Whatever you
have need of, just ask. "Ask abundantly that your joys may be
full. Ask and you shall receive; seek and ye shall find; knock and it'll be
opened unto you.
E-11 011 And the main thing was, that Jacob...
He'd had dreams and visions and so forth, but this was one time he could lay
his hand on something and say it's God. And he was able to hold onto it until
the blessing came.
Oh, if we could do that, if we could find a spot to where we could see God, whether it's in His Word, wherever it is, and recognize it's God, and hold onto it until the blessing comes... Wrestle it out with God. God promised to do it.
God said if we'd seek, we'd find; ask, and it shall be given; knock, it'll be open. Every Word is true.
When Jacob got a hold of
something that he could look, hold to with his hands, and seen that it was God,
he would not turn it loose.
E-30 030 Now, Elijah knew that everything that he touched was blessed. But if he could get the woman to believe it, that was all... If he could get the woman to believe the same thing, a miracle would've happened just the same as ever, if the woman would've had faith in what Elijah told her to do. But the woman's faith wasn't in the staff. Now, I kinda like the way she said it anyhow. She said, "As the Lord liveth and your soul never dies, I'm not going to leave you." I like that: determined to hold on. That's it. If you start out for God, hold on until the Holy Ghost comes, until everything that you've asked for takes place. Just don't give it up. "I'll not leave you. I'm on your hands, Lord, until You answer me." That's the way to do it.
You know, Jesus taught it like
that. He said the unjust judge, you know, how he--he--he wouldn't avenge the
widow of her enemy. But he said, "To get her off of my hands I'll go ahead
and avenge her of her enemy." Well, how much more will your kind heavenly
Father be willing to give you. But now not... He said, "Seek and you
shall find; knock and it will be opened..." Now... "And ask."
Now, if you notice, it isn't just "Lord, I want it." "He that
asketh, seeketh." Keep on seeking. Keep on knocking. Just keep on, on.
You've arrived there, so just keep on knocking till it happens. "I believe
it, Lord. I'm--I'm on Your hands. I'm on Your hands."
E-38 038 He knows your
needs. He knows how to bring it to you. But the trouble of it is, because it
don't come the way you think it ought to come, then you're all discouraged, and
you hand it back to Him. Let's ask Him, and believe that He will send it
just the way He wants to send it, and accept it upon the basis. That's right.
See?
If you ask Him, don't make Him a liar. He can't lie. He promised, "Ask the Father anything in My Name, I'll do it." Now, God can't lie. Ask Him and it shall be done. "Seek, ye shall find; knock, it'll be opened." We believe that. Certainly we do.
105 057 Now, you go up there, what do you do?
When you go just like Abraham did, go up there with
that promise. "God, You told me
it's mine. I got faith in Your promise. I'm bringing Your Word. You promised
this. You said, 'Ask, and you shall receive; seek, you shall
find; ask, it shall be given; knock, it shall be opened.' Here I am, Lord. I'm
here. I'm knocking, seeking, asking. I've got to receive It." There you
are. Something takes place then, oh, when you lay that Word down.
Look what Satan did when Jesus laid the Word down on him. "And it's also written." He jumped away from that wire, as I said the other night. Yes, sir.
Then what, after you overcome? How do you overcome? Could you ever do it by yourself? No. Somebody went before you and overcome for you. It's Christ. I'm just a heir of it. I don't have to do anything. I'm a heir of the promise. The only thing I have to have, is put my faith on His promise. Do you see it?
E-75 075 Some of them has perseverance. They just move on anyhow, no matter what it is, like the little Syrophenician woman that we spoke of this afternoon, that stood before You. You just told her, "Go thy way. The devil's left her." That's all she wanted to know.
Now, You don't have to come in our midst to say that now, Father,
because You've already said it. "Whatsoever things you
desire, when you pray, just believe you receive them, and you shall have
them." We know that's Your Word. Now, if we ask anything, then we should
be perseverant after that. We should know that it's ours. You give it to us.
You can't lie; You're God. If You give it to others, why don't You give it to
us?
Then we ask, we shall receive. You said so. "Knock, and it'll be opened; seek, ye shall find; ask, and it'll be given." Well, God, promise after promise You've given us. "If anywhere two or more are gathered in My Name, and shall ask anything, it shall be given to them." Now, You promised that. "Wherever two or three are gathered," no matter how small the meeting is, "I'll be in the midst of them." Now, You promised it, Lord. That--that's Your own promise, that's Your own Word. I believe it.
493-2 {227} 105 Like you look in the Bible, it says, "Knock, and it'll be opened, seek, find, ask, be given." Now, if you'll notice, it's knocketh, just constantly knock [To illustrate, Brother Branham repeatedly knocks upon the pulpit--Ed.], stay right there like the unjust judge wouldn't answer the woman, he just kept knocking on her door. Saying, "I'm on your hand." Not seek, say, "Lord, I'd like to have this. Amen." That's not it; stay right there till you get it. You know it's going to come. So He promised it, so just stay right there till you hold onto it. See?
Now, now, in the last part, the seventieth week, the last part of it will be during the time of the tribulation period, after the rapture of the Church. Then there is the three and a half years here that it will be confirmed to them again by prophets (See?), Moses and Elijah: Revelations 11.
E-57 057 Don't try to educate yourself into
something. But get right down before Jehovah God. Speak to Him. He'll speak
back to you again. That's just how humble it is. "Ask and you shall
receive; knock and it'll be opened; seek and you shall find; ask and it'll be
given. " That's just that simple.
I know one thing, that whenever you really find God, it makes you act peculiar. You notice Moses, the next day after... He'd run from... He'd already run out of Egypt, and been out there, and married Zipporah, and--and had his little son Gershom. And here he was, already forgot about the bondage of the people. But when God appeared to him there in the burning bush, the next day he had Zipporah setting straddle a mule with a young-un on her hip, and a white beard hanging down to his waist, and his bald head shining, and a stick in his hand, going down through there. "Glory to God," his eyes looking over.
"Where're you going, Moses?"
"We're going down to Egypt to take over," a one-man invasion. Oh, it'll make you act funny. But that's all right. As long as you know which way you're going, that's all right.
"How do you know you're going to take over?"
"God said so." That settles it. That settles it. "God said so."
"Oh, you're eighty years old. If you'd have done that you--when--when you was forty..."
"But God said, 'Go now. This is the time.'" One-man invasion going down to do it
