The Prison Vision

(Church w/jail in
background)
I
was saved in 1989 and began to receive the Message booklets of the Prophet
William Branham. In 1990 I started going to church for the first time. Soon I
was licensed to minister. In 1991 I had a vision/dream of starting a jail
ministry and it started in the Pendleton County Detention Center in Falmouth,
Kentucky. We walked out of the Nazarene Church one Sunday and went next door to
that jail and lo and behold they asked us when we wanted to minister I said now
of course so there it started.
I ministered there for a
year when I was called to a Newport, Ky church and started ministering in the
Kenton County Jail for 3 years full time having access to 250 inmates on a
regular basis ministering one on one and in groups.

Somehow I always new from
the beginning that I would go around the world for the Lord. I told everyone this
in 1990 and they laughed at me including my pastor!
In 1995 I was led out of
that jail ministry in Covington, Kentucky to another Church where I studied
doctrine for 10 years which has prepared me for overseas.
In
the year 2000 I started a little web site never knowing anything about a
computer and it evolved into www.PrisonMinistries.net,
which has reached 159 countries documented! So actually I have gone around the
world in a sense already.
In
August 2001 a deacon in a church in Lubumbashi, Congo visited my web site and
was so inspired he started his own Prison Ministry calling it Congo Prison
Ministries in honor of mine! The deacon Richard Katumbe and his pastor Placid
Kwamba asked me doctrinal questions which I referred to my pastor at which time another
deacon in the same church Billy Diabasenga began translating into French, the
Message, which has now gone into 24 French speaking countries!

This was all from one visit
to PrisonMinistries.net. When I met
Billy Diabasenga here in the states last year he said, “So now I have met the
man whom the Doctrine has spread forth to 24 countries” as well as inspire the
prison ministry in Congo also. This meant a lot to me because Billy came with a
great reputation as senior air traffic controller in His country meaning he was
responsible for the president’s jets etc. The Congo prison ministry has seen
great things happen as they minister in 3 major prisons in Kipushi, Lubumbashi,
and Likashi. One member of the team is a lawyer and has been a
great help in securing the release of innocent prisoners!
Meanwhile as time went by I
was beginning to think the dream had died when in late 2004 I got a letter in
the mail about “has your dream died?” and it went on and on about how the child
that died in the woman’s arms in the Bible. The child was a promise from God
thru His Prophet Elisha and she cried out to God and Elisha came and revived
the child. This reminded
me the dream/vision of the worldwide prison ministry had died on me but God
would revive it. In late December I received an email from a Pastor in Uganda
saying he too was inspired to start-birth a new prison ministry in Uganda, East
Africa and the stated he had the vision for all of East Africa. At the same
time a Pastor in Nigeria emailed and said he too was inspired to start a new
prison Ministry in West Africa and later emailed to say he had a vision/dream
for all of West Africa. So now my dream is coming forth, though 2 more
ministries are in birth stages yet these are experienced men in the ministry
and not novices in the prison ministry either as both had highly successful
prison ministries in the early 1990’s that had died because of no backing.
As you can see the sight of
the vision was almost gone but I had really never let it go like the woman
whose child had died in the Bible I never gave up hope. Hold to what you
believe and it will be granted.
Remember
to open thy mouth wide and God will fill it (Psalms 81:10)
