Kings
and Priests
WILL I FIND FAITH WHEN I RETURN LA CA 51-0508
E-35 Our bodies are groaning, and we have an inheritance. And we're children now, heirs of the Kingdom (Oh, my.), kings and priests unto God offering spiritual sacrifices.
What does a priest do? Make a sacrifice. What is a sac--a spiritual sacrifice? That's what these sons and daughters do, which are kings and priests, yet not in full possession, but they're making sacrifices, offering to God spiritual sacrifices: the fruits of our lips giving praise to Him (Amen.), fruits of our lips.
You say, "Brother Branham, I just don't feel like praising Him." That's the time to make the sacrifice. Praise Him anyhow. Kings and priests, sons and daughters offering spiritual sacrifice, the fruits of our lips, giving praise unto His Name.
53 Now, "the seven Spirits that are before God." These seven Spirits was represented as the seven Spirits that would be sent forth for the Seven Church Ages: "seven Spirits before God." We could pick up from the Old Testament and pick it out there, if we just had time.
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us...
My, just look at John get all wound up there, when he look. He just goes to speaking. He said:
... to him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
And hath made us kings and priests unto God... his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
"He has made us
priests and kings unto God." "Us" is plural, not "made
me priest and a king", but "made us," the Church.
Now, he's addressing these seven churches, for it's Seven Church Ages.
Now, he said, "Dominion and glory, and be to Him for ever and ever."
"Has made us priests." Did you ever know what a priest is, what his office is? A priest is to make sacrifice, to make intercession. And over in Hebrews It said that we, the Church, is the royal priesthood, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people (See?), a holy nation, peculiar people, royal priesthood, offering (Here it is now.) offering spiritual sacrifices. Every man and woman that comes to God enters into the veil.
WHERE I THINK PENTECOST.FAILED SAN FERNANDO CA 55-1111
E-99 Make these ladies here, Lord, an example of womanhood in their neighbor where they dwell. Make these men, Lord, anointed lights. Grant it, Father.
And right in this bunch stands young men. O God, lay Your hand upon them for the ministry; give them a calling. May they live such lives till You'll separate them out from among the people, and set them, and adopt them into Thy family, Father. And anoint them as kings and priests to rule in Your Kingdom. Give them ministries and things to do to bring others to Christ. Grant it, Lord, as they stand here humbly bowing.
E-23 Now, that is true. God called Messiahs... God called us, and we become kings and priests unto God. Like Jesus was God's High Priest, we become a lesser priest. Jesus was... God in Fullness dwelt in Him to shine forth the expression of God to the world, for God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. And as God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, God comes into His church and anoints Him some Messiahettes. Oh, my. Do you see it?
The same things He did is in His church. The same power He had is in His church. And His church becomes His dominion, and He's King over this dominion, and we are kings and priests, offering spiritual sacrifices to God, the fruits of our lips giving praise to His Name. Amen. Oh, my. There you are: Messiahettes, Messiahettes, little messiahs, little anointed ones. Anointed off of what? The main One, anointed off of the great One.
607-Q-140 140. Now, were the five of the virgins lost?
I presume that they are asking the question, "the five virgins," the five wise and the five foolish. Now, if you were with us in the last teachings in Revelation, you find out there that those virgins, the--the five foolish virgins were not lost; but they were not permitted to go into the wedding supper, but they suffered persecution, and was martyred, and raised again at the general resurrection in the last day. Those are the people where He separated the sheep from the goats (See?); they stood before judgment.
You say, "Well, Brother Branham, don't we stand, the Church?"
No, sir. We do not stand before the judgment. We are now standing before the Judgment. God put our sins upon Christ, and we... "He that heareth My Word (St. John 5:24) and believeth on Him that sent Me has Eternal Life, and shall not come into the judgment but has passed from death unto Life." No more judgment for the Church, it's took up in the rapture, and comes back to pass judgment upon the people who did not receive the Holy Spirit. Does not Paul say that he dares any of us to take a--a matter to the court, to the unjust magistrate, when, "know ye not that the saints shall judge the earth?" We will set with Christ and judge, kings, and priests, and judge these people that we preached to and told them about the baptism of the Holy Ghost and they refused to receive It. Think of it.
No, they were not lost, but they will never be in the Bride. They were come in the second resurrection, but never be in the Bride, to be judged according to the way they treated the Light that they received. Now, that part will be up to Christ. They were not lost though.
35-3 REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST CHURCH AGE BOOK CPT 1
"He hath made us!" Oh, there are certain truths we need to emphasize. This is one of them. HE! HE HATH MADE US! Salvation is His doing. Salvation is of the Lord. All of grace. He redeemed us for a purpose. He bought us for a purpose. We are kings, spiritual kings. Oh, we are going to be kings upon the earth with Him when He sits on His throne. But now we are spiritual kings and we reign over a spiritual kingdom.
It says in Romans 5:17,
"For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ."
And in Colossians 1:13,
"Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom (reign) of His dear Son."
Right now we reign with Christ, having dominion over sin, the world, the flesh, and the devil. Showing forth His praise and glory; showing forth HIMSELF, for it is Christ in us, willing and doing of His good pleasure. Yes, indeed, even now we are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
