The Invisible God
MELCHISEDEC THE GREAT PRINCE JEFF IN 55-0109M
E-18 Now, God swearing by Himself, no greater. We'll hurry up and get down, for our subject today is on Melchisedec, Melchisedec the Great Prince and King. Now, the 14th verse says:
Saying, Surely blessings I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
'Cause he was to be multiplied to every nation, and the Gospel through Christ... Now, it could not do it under the dispensation of the law, because it didn't reach out that far, only to the circumcised, and that was the Jew. But in the Holy Spirit realm He has circumcised every heart (See?), all nations. He would multiply Abraham to all nations.
And so after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
How we've dwelt on that, how Abraham patiently enduring. Enduring as seeing what? The invisible God as though He were visible, standing before him. And after his endurance... After he had endured the hard fight, he inherited the promise.
Now, isn't it strange? Look like God could've just reached down and give him the promise right then and done the work right then. He could've done it.
E-77 And now, Father, I've spoke to this group tonight. I'm at the end of my road. I've tried to say just as reverently as I could what You was yesterday, and saying You're the same today. And now, it's Your time to speak, the invisible God Who is omnipresent. I pray that You'll grant these blessings, that these people might be Your servants and serve Thee; in Jesus' Name we pray. Amen.
Now, I--I don't know what your trouble is, and we're just meeting our first time. I'm not repeating myself, but you can imagine what a nervous strain this is at this time because I'm either going to be found a false prophet or liar. And if I'm found a liar, I quoted the Word, and what's the Word? See? Then where we at, what's the use of having churches?
E-46 Now, everyone reverent just while we pray. Heavenly Father, I pray unto Thee tonight, myself with this audience I bring them in behalf of their sickness...?... Your people, God, be kind to every one. And may their hearts be open tonight. May they understand. Anoint their eyes with eyesalve. And anoint mine too, Lord, that we might see the invisible God living among His people as He promised. He promised He would not leave us, Lord God, Jehovah. He promised He would be with us. And the Word said He would be--we would do like manner in the world until He comes.
Now, Father God, I have did all that I know how to do, the rest is Yours. And now, we commit ourselves to Thee, and ask that You'll visit us tonight, and bring us joy to our hearts, healing to our bodies. For we ask it in Jesus' Name. Amen.
E-18 When a man once catches that vision of the invisible God and know that He's always present, there's something that stabilizes that man's thinking; it stabilizes his actions, and in the time of distress and trouble, it'll still make him look upward and above the things that are happening around him, because he's looking at the Unseen, yet by promise.
Now, how Abraham, not only did he see the Unseen... And the reason he believed it, was because God said it. And if we being dead in Christ, we are Abraham's seed, and if the Spirit that was in Christ dwells in us, it does the same thing. It takes every Divine promise of God that's in His Bible and calls it present tense, and rests itself upon there.
E-58 Now, the next thing He did, then God the Father overshadowed a virgin called Mary. And the hemoglobin (You know this by being a nurse.), the blood cell comes from the male. Then somebody said, "We're saved by Jewish blood." There's not one speck of the mother's blood in the baby. The baby lays in the blood of the mother, but the blood cell comes from the male sex. So He wasn't neither Jew nor Gentile; He was God. A creative blood, not by sex desire, but a creative blood... See what I mean? And then, God's Blood saved us, an unadulterated Blood.
He created Himself. I mean He changed His cast from God to man and came down, was born of a virgin, Mary; and the Holy Ghost (which is God, His Father, that overshadowed it) came down and spread His tent and dwelt with us in the form of a man. That's God the Son, the same God that was God the Father. "It isn't Me that doeth the works. It's My Father that dwelleth in Me; He doeth the works." See? [Someone says, "In me."--Ed.] That's right.
The Father that dwells, tabernacles, lives... "This is My beloved Son, in Whom I am pleased to dwell in." Matthew 3. See? "In Whom I am pleased to dwell. I am very please to dwell in this One." Dwell, that's to occupy, come in the house and live. "In Him was the fullness of the Godhead bodily," says the Scripture. That's right--the visible image of the invisible God. Now, there He is. Now, that's God the Father, God the Son.
253 Jesus did the works of His Father because the Father was in Him. That's why the works was done, because that the Father was in the Son. Do you believe that? [Congregation says, "Amen."--Ed.] That in Him, He was the incarnate God. Do you believe that? That God the Father, which is the Father of Jesus Christ, the Great Spirit dwelt in the fullness of His power in Jesus Christ, which was the Tabernacle of God, made flesh and dwelt on earth, representing the Word. Jesus was the Word. The Bible said so, Saint John, 1st chapter. And the Words was invisible. Now, listen close. The Word was invisible until It was made flesh, and then the Word become visible.
And through His sacrificial death at Calvary and His resurrection, positionally placed His Church in that realm, that the same invisible God could come into the individual and make the Word visible. Oh, my. I--I wish my church could get that. If you could see, friends, the invisible God made visible. Now, let's--let's study it again now.
128 If we could only realize that He's here with us, the same yesterday, today, and forever. "Lo, I'm with you always. I'll never leave you, never forsake you. I'm with you to the end of the world," 24th chapter. "I'll never leave you," again He said. Oh. Again, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." I was just looking at the Scriptures I had wrote down here concerning it.
How can we be sure? By His proven Word. He is now waiting for you to call Him on the scene to be proved, so let us go and awake Christ in our lives.
How do you awake Christ? By
believing His Word. Faith brings Him on the scene. That's what brings Him on
the scene: faith. Then call on Him to confirm His Word. And don't doubt in
fear; don't do that. Just believe Him as It is written, and let it be done, and
God will prove to you that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and
forever. We worship an invisible God.
CALLING JESUS ON THE SCENE CHICAGO IL 63-0804E
135 Notice, how is He identified, what could He? If the Bible said, Colossians 1:15, that we--we are--we worship an invisible God. God is invisible. Do you believe that? Then this person coming around here with nail prints, and smoke, and blood, and everything else, that wouldn't make him God. We worship an invisible God. He's always been invisible until He identified Himself in Jesus Christ. Is that right?
Now, the invisible God identifies Himself in you. See? You are His temple. "Ye are the..." Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. The Scripture says so.
The Pillar of Fire that Moses saw was not the invisible God. That Pillar of Fire was the Shekinah Glory that represented that the invisible God was at hand.
When John baptized Jesus, the Son of God, God, the invisible God, come down in the form of a Light, shaped like a dove sailing down through the air, the invisible God identified in the Shekinah Glory.
GO AWAKE
JESUS SHREVEPORT LA 63-1130E
202 "Well," you say, "If I... It's always been a puzzle to me. If He's, if... Really, the truth is, does He still live?"
Certainly, He lives. What's this you're bumping into all the time? What's that condemns you when you're wrong? What's that that makes you believe? That's Him. You might not be able to open your eyes and see Him, because He's in spirit form, the invisible God. But He dwells among a visible people, making Himself visible by His promised Word in that people. Do you understand that now?
Here, before we call the prayer line, I trust God will do this.
