E-85 But notice when He went after the lost
sheep. It wasn't His finger; He took the lost sheep and put it over His
shoulders. Hallelujah. How He cares for a lost sheep, one that strayed
out some of them formal ungodly places, in the desert and wilderness out there.
He goes and gets him, puts him over His shoulder, fills him full of the Holy
Ghost, and sends him back to the fold.
The devil's just no more to Jesus; He just kicks him out with His finger, goes on. But the lost sheep, He goes and hunts him up and lays him over His shoulder, holds his legs like this. And the most powerful part about a man is across his shoulders. You know that. Lays it around His neck and across His shoulders and here He comes packing him through the wilderness.
E-31 When the little ship, he
said, was out in the midst of the sea, and the waves were contrary, He was
setting up there watching it. He isn't setting on a mountain tonight, but He's
setting in glory; His eye's on the sparrow, and I know He watching us. He
knows how contrary the waves is to you. He knows what the doctor said, and He
cares for you. He loves you, and He will come at the last hour. But don't be
afraid of Him when He comes. Accept Him.
When they finally got the scare off of them, and He got into the boat, there was a sudden peace. And oh, what a sudden peace it is to a troubled heart that's went from place to place to try to find something. And when they stopped for a few minutes, He let the Holy Spirit come into their heart, what a sudden peace It brings.
All the turmoil of this church and that church right, and this congregation, that... It's all settled, and you know your Redeemer liveth because He lives in you.
33 Now, you might've heard these Scriptures before, but let's take heed to Them. Are They true? They are more true than you're setting in this church tonight. They're more truer than this is the state of Arizona. They're more truer than you are a live human being. They're God's eternal Words, and His promises. And all heavens and earth will pass away, but them Words shall never pass away. They have meaning, the--meaning sublime. But they'll never mean nothing to you until God reveals Them to you. How beautiful it is to know that He cares for us.
52 And the Church is the Life of God on earth, and He wants to comfort His Church.
And how it would be, if you knowed that wiping the fevered brow of your child would comfort it, and it would refuse, and spit in your face, and reach and get a bottle of whiskey or something to take instead--instead of the touch of the mother's hand or something.
That's what we do when we turn to other remedies. There's many remedies, but one Cure. Christ is the Cure, and the only Cure in this. He cares for us. He loves us, and He wants us to come to Him. God made us that way, that holy thing in us that wants to be comforted.
96 Oh, cast your cares on Him; He careth for you. Now, He cares for you, now we know. Let's ask a few minutes if He cares for us. All right.
He cared for the leper when He was here on earth. There set the leper. Did you ever see a leper? Oh, I've seen many of them, hugged them in my arms, them white with leprosy. Looks like a seed wart turned inside out.
Setting where nobody would
touch him, down in the slime and dirt and filth of the street, about as low as
he could be, where everybody was afraid to get around him. He was a... He was a
outcast. He was cast away from the society of the city, from the society of the
church, from the society of--of everything there was in the city. No one wanted
nothing to do with him. If they done anything, they'd pitch him a piece of
bread and let him get it out of the dirt. They wouldn't get near him.
But Jesus cared for Him. He walked right down with him and set down. I can just see Him lay His hands upon him and said, "I will, be thou clean." Oh, He cared for him. When nothing else could care, He cared.
When nothing else will care for you, He still cares.
109 But Jesus cares. He moved me around, and said, "The woman sitting yonder, her name is Rosella Griffin. She's an alcoholic. She's been give up by the 's-Anonymous, and they can't do nothing for her. And so all hopes is gone. But she has believed on Him: "THUS SAITH THE LORD. From this hour on, no more alcohol." And now she's a sweet, loving Christian; from place to place, and from dive to dive, from jail to jails, preaching the Gospel to save alcoholics.
Jesus cares, so just cast your cares upon Him. In your
sorrow, He cares. When you lose your loved ones, He cares; He cares for the
dead, those who have died in Christ.

111 One day, He was so weary in His way, He could hardly go, But there come a--a band from the city, a funeral procession, and a little mother frantically throwing her hands in the air, and wringing them. "O Jehovah, why did You take him? He's my only son."
He was tired and weary, but He cared for that poor, little, heartbroken woman. Walked over to the--the carriers that--that carried the--the casket, and touched it, and said, "Son, rise." Why? He cared.
He understands. Now, we
know, by His life, that He cares.

113 Now, the question
is for us tonight, do you care? He cares. But now do you care? If you do not
care, then He can't help you. But if you care enough, or care enough about
yourself... I've heard people make this insane remark, "I don't care what
becomes of me." Oh, my. I sure care what becomes of me. Sure, I do. I
care. And I believe any person in their right mind cares. I want to know what's
going to happen to me. And if I know He loved me, there no one else could
love like that. He cares for you. He cares for you. No matter how little you are, how insignificant
you are, how poor, how indifferent, how many times you've tried and failed, He
still cares. His love still knocks at your heart's door. But are we
ungrateful for that? In a day here where...

have to hurry, and scuffle, and act like the rest of the world. Quieten down.
What's the matter with the Christian? The spirit of the world today is neurotic. But
that's not the Spirit of Christ. Did you ever see Him get excited about
something? Just as calm as He could be. He knowed exactly where He was
standing.
Oh, what a blessed assurance
is. Just like a baby, to lay your trust upon Him, and let Him take all your
cares; for He cares for you. Don't try to do anything about it. He will do it
already. He's promised He would do it. It's His business. As long as you're fooling with
it, well, then, He can't have it. But when you turn it loose and let Him have
it, He will take care of it for you. Yes, sir. Oh, I like that. What
a perfect calmness the Christian ought to have.

E-42 Joshua built
those houses and those cities of refuge, and God built us a city of refuge;
that's in His Son, Christ Jesus. The Name of the Lord is a mighty
Tower. The righteous run into it and are safe.
Now, you say, "What if you
get sick in there?" He bore our sickness in this Tower that we're in. He
bore our sickness in His body. We have...
"Well," you say,
"what if you get weary when you're in there, all cares and things?"
Cast your cares upon Him. It's wrote on every wall, all the way around, every
door. Cast your cares upon Him, because He cares for you.
Trust in His promised Word.
His Words are written on our heart. Our hearts are the tables of His Word, like
Martha and Mary and all along. See? Even
death itself doesn't worry you in here, when you're in the Lord. Why? He rose
from the dead. We don't have no worry about that. Death comes, like the little
sister was speaking about there. If it's time to go, let's go. That's right.
What do you do? Change this old vile carcass that we got, for an immortal body
made like unto His own glorious body.
HE CARES DO YOU CARE? JEFF IN 63-0721
142 He cared,
when the centurion cared enough about hisself to send for help from Jesus. When
the centurion showed by his faith, denounced his idols of Rome, and cared
enough by public witness to send for Him to come heal his son, Jesus cared
enough to go heal him. He cares when you care. You got to care first though. He
cared.
He cared when Jairus cared enough
about Jesus; he was a secret believer. He believed He was right, but because of
his denominational stand he couldn't come out and confess it, but when his
little daughter got sick and died, Jairus knowed, look at the death of his
daughter, or to express his care, he cared enough to denounce the unbelievers
that was around him, and put on his little ministerial hat, and went and found
Jesus. When Jairus
showed he cared, Jesus showed He cared enough to come and raise her up from the
dead. Cast your cares on Him, for He cares. No matter what it
is, He careth.
144 He cared enough when there was not even a commandment so, there was nothing said so; He had never made mention of it, but He cared because the little woman couldn't get in the prayer line, and she said, "If I could touch the border of His garment, I believe Him." He cared for her faith in that; insomuch that He turned and called her out in the audience, and told her her faith had made her well. He cared because the woman cared.
He cared when the neurotic called Legion cared enough, under opposition, to wiggle out from under those tombstones of devils and go out to meet Jesus, and throw hisself prostrate. When, Legion... Them devils would've never come if Legion hadn't have pushed his way out there to meet Him. And when he cared enough to make that effort, that stand in his belief, Jesus cared enough to cast out this legion of devils from him, and his neurotic condition was gone. He cared when you care. Yes, sir. He cares when you care.
146 Now, when the blind
man cried at the Jericho gate, "O Jesus..." Being a Jew, orthodox,
good standing in the synagogue, but when he said, "What's that noise goes
by?"
They said, "Jesus of
Nazareth passes, a Prophet."
Said, "Jesus, Thou Son
of David..." Oh, what a rebuke that was to his pastor and priests that
stood by. But he didn't care what pastor, priest, or nothing else said; he was
interested. And he cared enough to get his sight, so he called out. And when
that blind man was ready, and cared enough to call out, Jesus cared enough to
heal him. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. He cares when you care,
but you got to care first. You
got to prove that you care.
153 Whether you strike a
prayer line or whatever it is, that isn't it; do you care? Cast your cares upon
Him; He cares for you. Be sincere about it. You care enough to be sincere, for He has proven by
His a-vindicated Word that He cares. He promised to send It; He's
done it. He promised in the Word; here It is. He cares; now what about you?
It's you ought to care next.
He cared enough--He cared enough to conquer every enemy
for you, that all you have to do is to be sincere and believe it. He conquered
death. Death ain't nothing for me to conquer; it's already conquered. Sickness
ain't for me to conquer; it ain't for Christ to conquer; it's already
conquered. I just have to care enough to believe it. Are you afraid of what
somebody else has told you? Are you afraid of the doctor's diagnosis? Are you
afraid of what the church will say to you? Are you afraid to stand there toe to
toe, to the devil? Say, "I've confessed my sins, I've laid aside everything.
I've believed every Word. Here I am, Lord. Create in me a care. I... You cared
for me; I care for You."

I believe [Congregation says, "I believe"--Ed.] with all my heart
["with all my heart"] that Jesus ["that Jesus"] healed me
["healed me"] when He was crucified ["when He was

if He has already done it, then it's your faith to accept it. Now, He cared
enough to do it, do you care enough to lay aside every doubt and believe it?
Cast your cares on Him, for He cares for you.
Now, if you're sick, if you're afflicted, I have seen, well, you know, tens of thousands times thousands of things that the Holy Spirit has done. And you know that; spastic, even to being dead...

24 Now, let us bow our heads just a moment for--for prayer. Is there a special request for prayer? (I see handkerchiefs are laying here.) Raise your hands. Lord, bless each one of these children.
Our heavenly Father, as we now approach Thy great,
majestic throne of grace, because we've been asked to come, we're coming upon
the bidding of Jesus Christ. And we come with all of our cares, and cast them
upon Him because He cares for us. What a great comfort that is to know that He cares for us. The great
God of heaven, the Creator cares for us, His creation. We're so glad for that,
Lord. What a comfort it is in these times that we're living, when there
seems to be able to--to draw comfort from nothing but Your Word. That's our
consolation is Your promise. And in Your promise, You said make our requests
known, and "If you'll ask anything in My Name, I'll do it." And all
these great promises: "Ask and you shall receive. Say to this mountain,
'Be moved,' and don't doubt, and it'll be moved." All these promises, and
we can draw from that just what we are asking for.
