Good Samaritan
DIVINE
HEALING DES MOINES IA 54-0620E
E-21 Now, our scene is at a
very cursed city. Jericho is in the valley; Jerusalem is on the hill. And
a man like we read of the good Samaritan, when he was coming down from
Jerusalem, going to Jericho, he was backsliding, coming out of the city of the
blessed, going down to the city of the cursed. And that's when he fell among
thieves and got stripped, and wounded and laying half dead: spiritually dead,
physically alive.
And then this city was a cursed city. The walls had dropped down once, and Joshua cursed the city, and the person that would ever try to build it again. And now, in this city where they had in those days, and always been, wickedness, and rowdiness, and horrible living, perhaps, in the days of this blind beggar, that we're thing of, Bartimaeus, that perhaps, it was just as wicked then as it was in the days before it fell. And setting down in this valley, along about October in the year, theologians believe it was, maybe the cool breezes had already begin to start, little hope that this beggar had. Let's look at this man just for moment.
LAMB AND THE
DOVE OAKLAND CA 57-0325
E-3 You know, I think what a--these meetings
are when we catch the sinner... You know, Jesus found a man, one time in a
parable, was on his road from Jericho--or from Jerusalem to Jericho. It showed
he was backsliding. He was going from up high, going down low. He was a
backsliding. And he met him on the road, and a enemy had beaten him, and
robbed him, and left him half dead: that was physically alive, spiritually
dead. So on... he... The priests and the Levites, and so forth, passed
him; but the good Samaritan, as Jesus taught it, came, picked him up,
poured oil in and wine and taken him to the inn.
Now, there's the place I want to get to you.
He taken him to the inn and said to the caretaker, "Take care of
him." He give him a couple of pennies, or whatever it was, to pay his way,
and said, "Now, if he needs anymore, just go ahead and take care of him; I'll
make it right when I come."
Now, you shepherds, God give you the Spirit and the
Word to take care of these wounded ones that's been brought in. If you need
anymore, He'll take care of that when He comes. So just feed those sheep.
E-1 Happy to see you on the platform tonight. I just heard that... [Blank.spot.on.tape--Ed.]
Tomorrow afternoon, the Lord
willing, I am going to speak on an evangelistic subject. And I'm going to
preach on the greatest gift that God has for man. And now, that'll be to...
member, we can only as the good Samaritan bring them to the inn, and the
Lord told the--the innkeeper, said, "Take care of him," give him so
many pence and said, "If you like... if he wants anything give it to him, when
I return I'll make it good with you." And I'm sure God will do that when
He makes it good with His pastors at the coming of the Lord Jesus.
E-73 Lord, they are the fruits of the message. Jesus, standing at the heart's door... The revival of my part here is closing for this session. God, I'm so glad they raised their hand. Now, I give them to You just now. And I'm praying, God, that the great Holy Spirit will let them go to one of these churches here somewhere, a good church that teaches the Bible, any church of their choice, and speak to their pastor, and say, "Pastor, I was down to the meeting the other night. I raised my hand to Christ. Won't you baptize me now in the Christian faith? I want to walk a straight, narrow road, and be a credit to my neighborhood and to all that I'm in contact with, and serve God, for I love Him."
O God, that pastor, he will be happy for that. And he will take care of Your child, I believe, Lord, like the good Samaritan who took him to the inn and said, "All right, if you lack anything, I'll pay you when I come." God grant it. In Jesus' Name, I present them to Thee. Amen.

E-42 Now, I want you to know, friends, as we
closing this meeting, if you have accepted Christ as your Saviour, or you've
been a wandering star, and tonight you've accepted Christ during this meeting
to come home to Him, go back to your church, please do. If you have no church,
find you one. If you don't have any choice... Brother Littlefield never told me
to say this. But Brother Littlefield, I know to be a man of God. I know Brother
Hall to be a man of God. I know these brethren here, many of them, to be men of
God. Join their church; they'll do you good. I can only be an evangelist;
that's my calling. They're pastors to feed you, and to shepherd
you until Jesus comes. They're the caretaker at the end. Jesus give them two
pence: the Word and the Spirit. If they need anything more, He will give it
when He returns. You know the parable of the good Samaritan.
175 Is there any strangers here that's never been in one of the meetings before? There's quite a few, just look. We're so happy to have you, trusting that you will--will continue on in this type of service, that is, where the Holy Spirit... If you're not a--a member of some church that's full Gospel in the nature, we would ask you, if you love the type of service where the Holy Spirit comes in and moves... Look at these ministers here, they--they live all through this country here, and they'll... (Thank you, sister.) They'll--they'll be glad to have you in their church.
Now, I want to say this, that every person that's been
converted this week, every person that's been converted here this week, now,
look at this bunch of ministers, they--they stand for the same thing that I do.
We haven't one difference at all. We're absolutely the same. We believe in the
full Gospel, the baptism of the Holy Ghost, all these things. All these
ministers here, we're all just exactly the same. And we want you to join their
church so you can continue on. Now, they are the... The good Samaritan
has come by, poured oil in the wound. But he's took you now, and he wants you
to go to one of the inns here, the closest to you. He's done paid the pastor to
take care of you, so he's paid; he received the Holy Ghost, got blessings of
God, and health, and revelation; he can just feed your soul. So you come now
and join one of the churches, and it'll--it'll be the best thing that you can
do to keep your spirit fed and moving on. God be with you.
PERGAMEAN CHURCH
AGE JEFF IN 60-1207
61 The life of Saint Martin was--is one of the greatest miracle filled lives of anybody in the church ages. From all the way from Saint Paul out, he was one of the most spiritual men. He was...
One of his first miracles was... He was a soldier to
begin with, I believe. And then one day he was coming by and there was someone,
a--a man laying cold and shivering, and all the people that was willing, or,
not willing, but was able to help the man, they just passed him by like
the--the priest and the Levites did in the Good Samaritan. But when Saint
Martin come by, realizing his duty as a Christian believer, he had one coat, a
cloak over his shoulders; he cut it in two with his sword and gave half of it
to the beggar; he took the other half. And that night begin his career, for
Jesus Christ appeared to him in a vision, wrapped in that same robe that he cut
half in two; which fulfilled the Scripture, "Insomuch as you have done
unto these, you have did it unto Me."

E-24 I want to come back. I heard you ask them, said for me--wanted me to come back. I'll come back someday, the Lord willing. I'd like to bring a tent and set it up out here somewhere, in--right in between the cities around here, and let us all come together and have fellowship one with another. Try to build up the churches.
Every one of you has got something to do now. Every one of you get right in your church and work just as hard as you can for your local church. See? But don't never criticize. If you know something bad about the other side, don't say nothing about it. See? Keep that to yourself. The enemy's just listening to hear that. See? Don't let him know nothing. Don't speak nothing out, then he won't know nothing about it. See? Keep it to yourself and pray.
Say, "Well, the poor brother did wrong."
But don't down him. He's down anyhow. Try to pick him up. See? Lift him up. Be
the good Samaritan. See? Try to pick him up. If you can't even talk to him,
pray for him till it is that way. Just keep him on your heart, 'cause his
soul's worth ten thousand worlds.

21 Remember the good Samaritan that
found the man wounded? He brought him to the inn (That's the church.) and gave
the man there two pence, and told him if he needed any more he'd pay him when
he come. So he's got two pence; he's able to doctor you up if he's a man of God.
If he's a man of God that stands on the Word of God, he--he's got what God give
him: the Spirit and the Word. Is that right? How is it we're to worship? In
Spirit and in Truth. And the Word is the Truth. Is that right?
