If you're afraid to tell the people you've received the Holy Ghost, don't worry, I doubt whether you ever get it or not. See? God wants heroes. He wants something that's brave. If he's a there is a good way to trust whether the messenger's right or not messenger from God, he'll not only speak of it, but he'll have it to produce it, and to show that the God that he talks about is with him and in him.

He said, "If God was with us, where is all of His mighty miracles? 'Cause we understand..." Listen how Scriptural Gideon was. In otherwise, he said, "If... We understand that God is a great God of mighty workings. He's a great God of miracles. And if He is for us, and if He is with us, and He's the same yesterday, today and forever, where can I see His miracles? Where can I see this God in action? Where's He at, if He's for us?"

66 036 The mighty man of valor could refer back to the old Word and know It's right, because he knowed this, that God is a supernatural Being. And wherever a supernatural Being is, He'll do supernatural signs, because the supernatural is in Him. You just can't get out of it.

How can you stand in the face of wind, without having wind blowing? How can you get in water, without being wet? Water's wet. That's the chemical of it. It's wet. And when you get in water, you're going to get wet. Right.

And when you get in the Presence of God, the supernatural, there's going to be supernatural signs and supernatural workings of a supernatural God.

117 055 Now, Gideon and those people there, before they could see, or could ever go, see these miracles of God, there was a condition that had to be met. To meet, to see the power of miracles, they had to believe. They also had to believe and obey the prophet's Word to see the miracles of God. Now, remember, before that they could see the miracles, they had to obey what the prophet said.

And before we can see the miracles of God, we've got to obey what the prophet's said. The Bible is the Prophet to us. That's right.

170 073 Act upon His Word, and you'll see a real miracle. Something will take place when you act upon His Word. Like Gideon did, he did what He told him to do. Like Noah did, he did what He told him to do. Like Moses did, he did what He told him to do.

Said, "Throw down your stick." In other words, "Get rid of everything's around you." Amen, "Let Me have it."

Say, "I got an awful temper." Give it to God; He knows how to quieten it. "I got a lot of lust." He knows how to take it away. See? Just put it in His hands and watch what a miracle can do. That's right. All right.

You might be many of those mighty men of valor tonight, setting here. "You saying the--the little church, small group?" Oh, my. There was only two there, him and his daddy. There only has to be two here, you and Christ. That's all it takes to be a mighty man of valor. That's right.

Now, the first thing you know, what happened? As soon as He spoke to Gideon, "Thou mighty man of valor.," called him, what he could do. And he said, "Nay, Lord. No, Lord. I--I just I--I--I can't believe that."

E-80 080 Now, Gideon... (I'll hurry.) Gideon, now, he wasn't sure. He wasn't too positive. Here was just an old man setting, leaning back against a tree, telling him what to do. He said, "Now, I don't know. How am I going to do it?"

He said, "Wait here just a minute." And he went and got an offering. He took the offering and laid it upon the altar. This old fellow might've creeped up there with His stick like this and touched that altar. The sacrifice was taken. Then Gideon was ready to act. Why? He'd seen the living Word of God in action. Amen. He saw God's living Word. He knowed that God was living in that--that monument of a Man there, that that was God. He called Him, "LORD." Of course he disappeared. He said an Angel of the Lord, which is just a manifestation, like Jesus being the Son of God, yet He was God. God was in Him. But this is a manifestation, a Angel of God like had met Abraham.

And yet Abraham called the man L-o-r... capital L-o-r-d, "Elohim." Anyone knows that reads the Greek Bible or the Hebrew, knows that Elohim is the Almighty. See, He was there in that--manifested in that little--that little body of clay setting there. Old Fellow leaning up against a tree like He was tired. But He took that stick, and touched that sacrifice, and it went up in a flame. See? Then Gideon knowed that that was the living Word of God. Gideon was ready to act. Amen.

491-4 {217} 101 Like Gideon separating his men, there's thousands and thousands. God said, "That's too many. Separate them again." He gave them another test, and separated them again, separated them again, and on down till he had a little handful. He said, "That's the group I want to do the job." That's exactly what happened.

Pentecostal women, going back and forth, setting there, hearing and knowing by the Word that's wrong. You think they'll cope with it? No, sir. Every year when I pass by, there's more with bobbed hair than there was when I started. Said, "What's that got to do... You ought to..."

Someone said, "Why, Brother Branham, people regard you as a prophet." Now, I don't say I was a prophet. Nobody hears me say that; but I say this, that if--if you did do that, if you regard it... Said, "Why don't you teach people how to receive the Holy Ghost and how to get this and how to get great spiritual gifts and help the church?"
