E-21 021 He was the first one who had the jurisdiction over everything in the earth (Is that right?), over all the animals. And he lost his--his power. And we're taught in the Bible what the first Adam lost, the second Adam, Christ, restored again to the human race.

Then, friends, if that's so, ministers, what's the matter with the Church today? That's what I want to know. If Christ was the missing link between God and man, and He's come to hook God and man together again, what is the matter today? It's because of unbelief. And you'll start something, and you'll see a little something, pretty soon you'll say, "Oh, well, let it go. It wasn't of God." All things work together for good to them that love God.

If you're building a house, and you say, "Well, this person just don't fit in here, 'cause look where this block is, this big open place here. Oh, that looks..." If it's... Move on. Keep building the house. God's got another block that'll fit in there, that'll fill that up. The house can't be built like that. So today, while God is moving, let's forget about it and move right out in the Spirit of Almighty God, and there see the house of God restored again.

The Christian has not one worry in the world. They should be the most freest, happiest people in all the world. 'Cause there's nothing... You can't lose. And all things work together for good to them that love God. So how can we lose? There's just nothing to lose, is there? We're just anchored away in Jesus Christ, going home to glory, having a good time while we're going along, God providing everything for us. Marvelous.

E-50 050 Ruth wasn't ashamed. She could trust him. I'm not ashamed. Someone said, "Billy, aren't you afraid some night that somebody will come up there, and you'll make a mistake on the discernment?" Never, no, sir, never afraid. "And aren't you afraid to make statements like that up on the platform, when you're afraid something will take place?" No, He promised It. "Why, you know, it'll ruin your whole ministry." It's not my ministry to begin with; it's His. It's up to Him to take care of it. It's not me. I can't take care of it; it's He that take care of it.

I purposed a long time ago, if the job that was... And all things work together for the good to them that love Him. I know I could love Him; that's one thing I could do. And if the... I committed all things to Him. And if the job's too big for Him, what's the use of me trying? Sure. He's the One. He's the One Who sent it; It's His Word. I don't want to preach my word; I want to preach His Word. I don't want to say something about myself; I want to say something about Him. So therefore, it's His Word, His power.

That's the reason that I don't believe that one man can heal another. No such stuff in the Scripture. But I believe that Jesus Christ the Son of God's healed every sick person that ever was sick, if they could only accept it, and saved every sinner, if they'd only accepted it. But it's your personal faith in Him, that you accept and confess.

E-31 031 The Christian experience is based solemnly and wholly upon rest. "Come unto Me all ye that labor and heavy laden, I'll give you rest." We're tossed about with everything until you come to Christ, then it's all finished. Resting in Christ, perfectly. No matter what comes or goes, nothing can touch us without it comes over the Shepherd. He has to permit it.

The Bible said, "All things work together for good to them that love the Lord." Has to come over Shepherd first. Said, "I'm the door. No man can come in without Me accepting it." Let me--let me tell you that when God permits anything, it's working to your good. So would sickness be the same thing? Certainly, that God might heal you to show a great testimony, give you a little something to move on for. "All things work together for good."

E-9 009 Now, we know that the Bible said in Saint John 5:19, Jesus said, "I do nothing except the Father shows Me first what to do." And now, God had to show Him then what to do, or He'd never left Bethany. So He went out about a day's journey or two, and by and by, Lazarus got sick. And they sent for Jesus to come. But instead of coming, Jesus just ignored the call.

Now, would it not make you feel strange if the pastor did that? It would make you feel like, "Well, he doesn't care about us." But oh, if you would just stop a minute to remember this, "That all things work together for good to them that love God." Nothing in the world can go wrong as long as you're in God. "The footsteps of the righteous is ordered of the Lord."

And then they sent again for Jesus. And He seemingly ignored their call and just went right on. After four days passed, He said, "Our friend Lazarus sleepeth. And for your sake I'm glad I wasn't there." For if He'd have been there, they'd have been trying to get Him to do something that wasn't the will of God.

E-24 024 One day when Joshua came down in the month of April, and that was a time if God was figuring out anything, He sure done a poor job. He would've made a crossed over in the fall of the year when Jordan was almost dry. But He turns right back around and crosses Jordan when it's at its highest in the month of April. The snows are melting in Judaea, and the great Jordan is flowing plumb over the plains.

And God brought His people to Jordan when she was raging the highest. Oh, I wished I had some way I could place that into the heart of the people. Maybe you've been brought up against the difficult right in your Christian experience, that you question God, "Why?" But God wants you to stand still just a moment.

The Bible said, "All things work together for good that them that love God." Stand still. Don't be alarmed.

And when the Jordan, in her great muddy waves as she was flashing from the hills of Judaea, God had to speak. And when God spoke, Jordan stood still and listened to Jehovah when He spoke. She walled herself up, and the water stayed. Oh, blessed be the Name of the Lord. When God speaks, something takes place. Nature hushed its mouth. God was speaking.

E-16 016 But we're taught that all things work together for good to them that love the Lord. God is making everything move just according to His great timepiece as it's ticking around.

Then when the darkest hour that little family had ever seen, excommunicated from their church, degraded in the societies of their church, their Friend that they had put so much confidence in had failed them, seemingly, and all hopes was gone... Lazarus was dead and buried four days.

Corruption sets in in seventy-two hours, three days. Perhaps his nose had already fallen in on his face. That's the first thing takes place; the nose turns, and falls in. And the skin worms had set in into his body. And then it's just at that great strategic moment, when the darkest hour they had ever seen, then Jesus came by. Oh, that's just like Him to do that. He comes in that darkest moment. Jesus came by.

And many times when maybe the lash of His correction is laying upon us, we wonder how that it could be working for the good. But after it's all over, then we look back and we praise Him for it because He knows; we do not. We just act obedient to His Word and to His chastising. He never did chastise us unless we had need of it. And sometimes we might think that we wasn't guilty, but He knows... Maybe we are not, but He knows just how to do it to make it all work good. And what a--a beautiful thing it is just to lay your life in His hands and say, "Here am I, Lord. Just use me now; lead me, and guide me, and direct me in the way that would be pleasing unto Thee." And then don't murmur. No matter what the path is, stay with it anyhow, and God will work it all right. "The footsteps of the righteous is ordered by the Lord." And that Scripture is true.

E-28 028 Now, look at Jonah. Many people think that Jonah was a terrible person. Jonah was a prophet of the Lord, walking in all the will of the Lord. You say, "Why did he do what he did?" He never done anything contrary to God's will. You can't, if you're in Christ, do anything contrary, if you're walking humbly, and--and upright. It may seem like you do, but you don't do it. Nothing happens providential. The footsteps of a righteous man is ordered of the Lord, and all things work together for the good, to them that love Him. How can you take those Scriptures, and compare them with any other, and then break them. The Scriptures cannot be broken.

Oh, you say, "He took a ship and went to Tarshish, instead of Nineveh, when God sent him to Nineveh, and he went to Tarshish." Let's just look at it a few minutes, find out. It's the way you look at it. You run over the top of them and say, "Oh, you're a Jonah." I'd like to be one. Certainly, he was a man of God.

E-5 005 That was very much so in this case. Satan was trying to tempt them to feel that they had done wrong, and was trying to block the on coming visitation that God was going to give to Abraham and Sarah.

And we're taught in the Scriptures, that all things work together for good to them that love God. And no matter how bad it seems, remember, it has to be working for your good. I'm so glad of that.

Satan's been after me all day. So I just believe that there's a blessing in store here in this city, somewhere. And I know, when he tempts and tries to block out, what's he trying to do? Get you to disbelieve. And if you--the worst thing that you can do is disbelieve God. And as soon as you get a little scared, "Well, maybe I haven't done this and I haven't done that," right then, Satan's got that blessing conquered for you. You can't get to it as long as Satan makes you think that.

E-2 Now, we bow our heads just a moment for prayer. Our heavenly Father, we come tonight to worship Thee. And we're thankful for the opportunity that we have of--of coming. And through this channel of--of Holy Spirit which has been bought by the Blood of Jesus Christ, that we have access to the throne of grace through the Name of Jesus... And we're so happy for it tonight.

And we pray now that You'll forgive us of our sins. And as we've gathered here scattered around about over the city, and we, in the little auditorium here tonight with this little group of people, I pray that Your holy Presence will meet with us. E-14 Now, God told Abraham, He was going to do and provide some way for this to happen. Anyone here a passed, or anywhere in their teen age would know that that would--had to be an outstanding... Something had to take place. But before God did it or promised it, He made a preparation for it before He made the promise. And it'll have to be.

To people setting here this morning with cancer, heart trouble, blind, it'll have to be, some moving of a supernatural that would do it. It had to be the moving of the supernatural Sunday morning, last Sunday morning, to take that lady from the stretcher laying here, broken ankles and sclerosis, till she couldn't even get her robe around here; and fifteen minutes she could lap it around her. Preparations was made. You see it?

Oh, what a glorious thing. Preparations was made. God foreknew that He would send Abraham, and He just let him go right on down till he got seventy-five years old, to show it would be a miracle, and let Sarah travel right on. And He could've spoke to them when they were eighteen or twenty years old. But He just let it get to a place where it would be a miracle.

God likes to show His power, not that He has to, but He loves to do it. It pleases Him in His omnipotence to let His subjects know Who He is. I'm so happy of it, because He showed me His power. Usually when God shows His power, regardless of what people think about it, people will clatter to it every time. It prepares their hearts. It makes them ready. It makes them brace up and ready to take a new hold.

The people who doesn't believe in Divine healing, and the performing of miracles, how... No wonder our churches are dying. No wonder they're withering up to a bloodless cults. No wonder the social Gospel is so predominating today, is because in our seminaries and everything we're taking all the phenomenal away from God. And God Himself is a phenomenal. He's the creator Being; He's Jehovah. He's the great Reality, He's the great Substance of everything that was made on the earth was made by Him. And He displays His power by raising the sun every morning, and by sending forth His rains, by setting His rainbows, comes down to His subjects, and healing their sickness, and saving their sins. Amen.

Friends, I think what we need to do is a solemn old fashion breaking down before God, and saying, "God, I repent for all my evil; and now forgive me and help me to be a real Christian."

Let us not with--not with no other way, but a broken heart of our evil, while that God is in our midst maybe for the last time for a long time. If He is in our midst now to give us this time of repentance, let's us repent with all of our hearts, and give God glory, and take a new hold today and serve Him and come out. You women, clean yourselves up. You men, be Christians. You preachers, go to your pulpits preaching. God is with us.

That's what they're saying today. "This here Holy Ghost religion you're talking about, it won't be long, that tree will burn down." But it don't burn down. Oh, the--the fire only waters it. It only gives us new hold. It only--it only strengthens it, every trial testing. Every time a wind hits a tree and shoves it back and forth and back and forth, it only loosens the roots, so it can go deeper and get a better hold. Every time sickness strikes your home, every time trials strikes your home, every time the neighbors say something bad about you, it's only shaking you, loosing you up, so you can get down and get a better hold on the eternal Rock of God's unmovable Word. That's how God does it; He sends those trials to test you, to prove you, to shake you up, and to give you a new hold.

E-16 And we pray that You will even sanctify this building in which the meeting is being held, that the Angels of God may take their positions by their posts, and by their seats, and around every person, that will sit in this building. Bless these ministering brethren on this platform, and maybe many out there that could not get in on the platform. We would ask that this would be a great time of refreshing for your children and your pastors, the shepherds of the flock. May Your presence be so great, that it would inspire them to move up closer, taking a new hold, and to shepherd the sheep in a great way.

7-4 If this day being so important, one of the greatest days, let us look at three different things that day meant to us. We could take hundreds. But this morning I have just chosen three different vital things that we want to look at for the next few moments, that Calvary meant to us. E-18 Now, we are approaching You to ask mercy tonight. I suppose a greater part of this people in this church tonight are members here. I pray, Father, that You will come in mighty power and will heal every sick or afflicted person that's in Divine Presence. We realize that this blessing is a blessing that You have given to the believer. You promised it, and we believe every Word of it to be the truth. And I pray that the great Holy Spirit tonight will grant these blessings, and we'll praise Thee for it in the Name of the Lord Jesus.

And, Father, we trust that in this--this coming, finishing of this week, and as long as You would have us to be here, may souls be saved first. May those who do not have the baptism of the Holy Spirit come in, and find fellowship with God, and walk in the Shekinah Glory of His Presence by the baptism of the Spirit. We pray that You'll help Your servants, Lord, the ministers, my brethren, Your children. May they be so inspired that they'll take a new hold, leaving the meeting with a determination, Lord God, to pack the Gospel farther than they ever have yet. Give them souls for their hire; great miracles and signs may follow their ministry to lift up the Lord Jesus.

Bless every church. Fill every church to the capacity, Lord, and may we drive our tent stakes far beyond the boundaries now. May we drive it even beyond denominational boundaries, Lord, that we might throw out our loving arms to all creatures of God throughout the country, draw them into the fellowship of the Lord Jesus. Grant it, Lord, and we'll praise Thee, for we ask this blessings in Jesus Christ's Name. Amen.

E-14 And as I think tonight, here before me, holding the purchase of Your Blood, their attention for the next thirty or forty minutes, what must I say, O God? These few words that's been prepared would be insufficient, Lord, without Your anointing. So I pray that You'll anoint the Words tonight of this text. And may they find their resting place. And provide for us just what we have need of to be prepared for that hour when Jesus does come.

Because God, notice with my eyes open a few moments ago, laying here before me is that book of the Christian Business Men, where our precious Brother Tommy Nichols translated from that tape that vision, or whatever it was, Lord, You let me see across the curtain there. And O God, I said, "If I could only go back for a... I--I'd persuade; I'd beg people. Oh, they mustn't miss that, Lord." There's people here that's divided their living with me, for me and my children, and between them and their children. I pray, God, that some how another, something might be said tonight, that'll--that we might have Christ divided among us tonight. That He might be the Saviour of every one of us, and the Healer of every one of us, and our coming King. And that hope, leave it here in our hearts. May we live eternally with Him, over in that land where there's no sickness.

I can think of them women, how they were once recognizing. Here's old women, ninety years old, and there they was, beautiful and young. And those gray-headed men here on earth, there they was, young and in their youth for eternity. God, we couldn't afford to miss that. Grant, Lord, tonight, that each and every person will take new hold tonight. Bless the saints and heal the sick, for we commit ourselves with this text, in the Name of Jesus Christ for Thy glory. 67 And what good did it do? Nothing. And it'll never be until every person that professes to be a Christian will forget his own ability and yield hisself to God. Then God can achieve His purpose by sending, not a revival, but, brother, what He needs to do first is send a killing (That's right.) so we can revive. You have to die before you can be born again, and you have to... He needs a killing of ourselves. This Tabernacle needs a killing, and me with it. All of us, we need a killing so that we can be revived in a new life, a new hold, a new hope, a new experience. We need first a day of mourning.

Speak to us through the Word tonight, the Truth. Thy Word is Truth. Heal all the sick and afflicted, for both physical and spiritual. These hands that went up have a need, Lord, and I pray You'll supply all of that tonight, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

13 Heavenly Father, we are now approaching the great mighty throne of God, as mortal beings in a natural body, yet our voices speaking out the words that's coming into that great throne somewhere in the other dimensions where God sits. Because Jesus said, "You ask the Father anything in My Name, I'll do it." And He asked us not to doubt, but when we pray to believe that we receive that what we ask for, and it would be given to us. Said, "Even you could say to this mountain, 'Be moved,' and don't doubt in your heart, but believe that what you have said will come to pass, and you can have what you said." Father, we know that that is so true. We watch it day by day, and there's no fault in Your Word. It's because we can't be at the spot; sometimes our faith won't move us up there; we flusterate and doubt. But this morning, we're trying to come, Lord, with a new hold, holding on to the lifeline of Christ and His promise. And we're coming into the Presence of God through Jesus' Name.

Lord, I'm sure that You know all the requests that was made known under the hand this morning that raised up. Mine also was raised up, and it's constantly up to You, Lord, because I am a needy person. And I pray that You'll grant every request. Look upon them, Lord, and answer their requests, from the youngest to the old, from the least of requests to the greatest request. Then, Father, answer them, every one. I ask it in Jesus' Name. Then remember mine, Lord.

190 And I pray, God, that these people would rush up for Christian baptism, believing on You, and confessing their sins, and accepting Jesus Christ and His Blood for their pardon, then rise and be baptized, calling upon the Name of the Lord, washing away their sins. And then may they be filled with the Holy Spirit of His promise, sealed, that Life that changes their whole nature, gives them a new hold, lets them look on; they become a prisoner from any desire, any ambitions.

Like the great Saint Paul wanted to be a rabbi. He wanted to be a great man. He trained. His father and mother trained him to be so. And back there on the backside of that desert, after meeting that Pillar of Fire that day, that had told him, "It's hard for you to kick against the pricks." Called his name, "Saul, Saul." How could a Pillar of Fire call his name? But He said, "I'm Jesus." And he knew that's what Jesus did when He was on earth. He knowed that Pillar of Fire was the Christ that led his people out of Egypt, through the wilderness, and he knowed that That was still the anointed.

3 Just as I got top of the steps... I'm looking at the old gentleman now. He came up to me and said, "Brother Branham, years ago..." He said he had heart trouble so bad that he--they thought he was going to die. And had prayer for him, and the grace of God healed him. And here he is this morning way in his eighties, just rejoicing. So that makes us take a new hold.

And now, I'm certainly soliciting the prayers of the people out in the radio land, as well as here. After I leave this meeting, I'm going to Europe, down into Africa and around, on meetings. And this is going by a vision, so it's going to be a great meeting there; I'm sure. And I felt for years that the Lord has wanted me to come back. The little humbly--humble ministry that He gave me, I don't think He's quite finished with it yet over there. Seemed like there might be a soul somewhere that I could catch in the Gospel net, the one that He's give me to seine for the people, the way of in Divine healing, praying for the sick. And I certainly solicit your prayers, both you people here and them who are out in the radio audience.
