E-77 Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thine will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Almighty God, Author of Life, and Giver of every good gift; Saviour of the soul, Healer of the body, Creator of heavens and earth, send Thy blessings upon this people. How can we doubt longer? How long will you stand in jeopardy?
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Who by His infinite grace, has sent His Holy Spirit to us in this last days. We
poor, alienated Gentiles, carried away with dumb idols, two thousand years ago
were wild savages, we Anglo-Saxon people, without hope, without God in the
world, and today has been made sons and daughters of God, and God has
sent His Spirit into us, crying, "Abba, Father."
306 But just when I was a baby, and there was a supernatural Being waiting at my mother, to give me life, when I was born, so if this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, there's already one yonder waiting in glory, prepared yonder, where there's no sickness or suffering. And just as I've been begotten of the Spirit here, and the Spirit of God crying out, "Abba, Father"; not only me, but every person in the world, that's born again, while this--while this spiritual body, while we're growing in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, someday we will step across the borders yonder and we'll be into that new body, where there'll never be any gray hair, stooped shoulders, or anything like that. We'll be young there forever, because Jesus Christ rose on the third day after His resurrection--after His death, and rose up again.
He lives. He reigns. Now, go tell His disciples. Go tell His people that He said, "I'll meet you over in Galilee." One of these days, in the Galilee of God, yonder somewhere, I expect to meet Him in peace, because He lives in my heart today. I trust that He's the same with every one of you. And while we...
E-19 No matter how much you go to church, how well your name is engraved on its stained windows, or whatmore, or on its book, it'll never mean nothing to you, until you are a witness of the resurrection of Jesus Christ by the infilling of the power of the Holy Spirit. You are taking somebody else's word. Why, I'd say...
"Well, Brother Branham, I
know that Jesus is the Christ, 'cause the Bible said so." The Bible is
right, but what do you know about it? See? It's an individual affair with every
individual. It must be a personal witness that every person must have in
order to know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, is when His Spirit bears
record with your spirit, in the Spirit of the new birth, borned again and you
cry, "Abba,
Father."
E-18 God, which was a part of God. God seen what the end would be, from the beginning, and the Logos come to the earth, which was Christ the Word, spoken Word of God, part of God, and was made flesh and dwelled among us. And then, we come out of Christ, which makes the same life that was in God, in Christ, in you. And just as sure as God raised this up, we've got to come with the same thing, if the same Spirit's in us. Because it's the Spirit of God making us sons and daughters of God.
Oh isn't it marvelous? How
do we get it? By believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, that's what. And accepting
it, and then God in return, give us the Holy Spirit, crying in our hearts, "Abba Father, my God, my
God." And then we are resurrected in the last days to be caught up.
And He said, "That day you shall know that I am in Father, the Father in
Me, I in you, and you in Me."
E-48 Now, listen closely before closing. "How can I escape it, brother?" Neither male or female is accepted or dispelled. You're all one in the sight of God when it comes to this. How do you do it? Your heart is a womb. You know what I'm speaking of women and men? Your heart is a womb. And the womb holds the seed. And the seed is the Gospel. Now, the seed alone in its heart... No matter how many Gamaliels you set under, no matter how great your pastor is, and how much you've read the Bible, it'll never take life until the germ of life has come to it.
A woman's seed is a wonderful thing. It's the building of a body, but it has no life. It can't; it's impossible. It has no life to begin with. So no matter how much you know the Bible, and how well it is in your heart, you're still a sinner.
Now, what happens? The heart is a
womb. And faith cometh by a open ear that's not been sealed by theology. Faith
cometh by hearing. To hear... The Word comes into the mind. You make up your
mind about it: "Is that right? Could that be right? Well, the Bible said
so. I believe it." Whew. Down into the heart it goes. Then it's a womb.
Then the male sex... We are the Bride, the woman. The Seed goes into the
Church. Then the male sex, which is the Blood cell... The Blood of Christ
is applied. And in the Blood comes a germ of Life that goes into the Seed and
brings forth a newborn baby, crying,
"Abba Father, abba Father, my God, my God, why did I ever do those things?
My God, my God." There you are.
E-1 Let us remain standing
just a moment till we meet God in prayer. Shall we bow our heads. Our gracious
heavenly Father, we thank Thee today from the depths of our hearts for the
privilege that we have of calling Thee our Father. We read in the Bible
where the Spirit would cry, "Abba, Father, My God, My God."
And we're so happy today that we have been included in this great number of the redeemed. And we are here this afternoon for no other purpose but to worship Thee, to read Thy Word, and to find out how we could be better servants of Yours, and to live a closer Christian walk for You, and with You. And we pray that You will meet with us around the Word and will give to us that deep desire that we so want in our hearts.
And we'll praise Thee for we ask it in the Name of Thy Son, the Lord Jesus. Amen. Be seated.
148 But, oh, my, neither do I understand it. No. Oh, but brother, I remember when I was a way out yonder one time. Something come after me. Amen. It wasn't because that I wanted to come, but 'cause Something come after me. Because before the foundation of the world, God predestinated (Hallelujah.) that we would be His, to His honor and glory. Listen. Those who He foreknew, He has what? Called. That right? Did He call you? Yeah. Why did He call you? Foreknew you. Those who He foreknew, He called; those who He has called, He has justified. Is that right? And those who He has justified, He hath glorified. Amen. That's what the Bible said. Those who He foreknew, He called: every generation. Those who He called, He has already glorified. What? Now let me read the Scripture here. All right.
Having predestinated them
unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself according to His Own
pleasure...
To the praises of His
glory...
Do you get it? To the
praises of His glory. That He could set there in the eternal ages that is to
roll on, and His children would scream, "Abba, Father. Abba, Father."
And the Angels say, "What they talking about? What are they talking about?"
201 But how we going to do it this way? See? It's just bump [Brother Branham illustrates--Ed.], just haphazard, any way, no placing at all. Now, that's... See, Ephesians, are trying... See, they miss that. See, then they miss it. We are predestinated unto the adoption of sons. Now, how many understands what I mean, raise up your hands. Adoption. We're born in the Spirit of God, sure receive the Holy Ghost, and cry, "Abba, Father. Hallelujah. Glory to God." We're... That's right. We're children, but we can't get nowhere. We can't whip the Philistines.
151 For ye haven't
received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit
of a... [Congregation says "adoption"--Ed.]
Now, after you're adopted,
all right, after you're adopted, you're placed; then you understand, after the
ceremony's said and you've been put into the Body correctly. You're a son,
sure, a daughter; when you're borned again you're... That--that's your birth.
But now you're positionally placed.
We've not received the
spirit of fear...; but we have received the Spirit--we have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby
we cry, Abba, Father. (Which means, "my God." All right.)
The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we're--we're children of God:
How does it do it? You say, "Glory to God. Hallelujah. It don't bother me; I'm a child of God," and go out and do the things you do? The Spirit of God will do the works of God.
Jesus said, "He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also." See, see?
E-34 But He took the Blood to the mercy seat. And only He, alone, could go in once a year. But when Jesus died, on the day of the atonement, He rent the veil in two. Not only the high priest, but whosoever will may come anytime into the Shekinah Glory of God by the baptism of the Holy Ghost, into a real Pentecostal fellowship (Amen), into a place in the Presence of God, where the power of God cleanses us from all unrighteousness. We become new creatures in Christ Jesus. The Holy Ghost falls upon us and all of our backwardness and shameness, we become into a relationship with God. Isn't the Church the Bride? Well, shouldn't the Bride be bringing forth children crying, "Abba, Father" ?
E-54 Now, you live in a house of a kitchen, a--a living room, and a bedroom. What is it the first thing when you talk to your little wife? That's the kitchen part, fellowshipping. Like the man who comes into the church, he sets back; he just has a little fellowship with one another when he comes in to listen to the Word: "Faith cometh by hearing." Then the next thing, in the other room, is the engagement room. Well, a lot of people think as long as they get into the kitchen, that's all they have to. No, you're just feeding then (See?), you're just getting fed. Then the next room is the engagement room, where you make love to your wife in the parlor. But now wait, that's as far as some people go. But remember, into the next room is where not only fellowship, but relationship comes.
And that's what's the matter with the church today; they got a shame face, if you can catch my parable; they don't want that relationship with God. They'd rather have some stole, cold, formal, starchy, organization, say, "I'm Presbyterian." "I'm Methodist." "I'm Baptist." "I'm Pentecostal." Then to really come down to that relationship with God to go out and bear forth children crying, "Abba Father." They're ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Paul said, "I'm not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, for it's the power of God unto salvation to them that believe."
We'll never educate them in. We'll never denominate them in. We'll never scientifically take them in. They've got to be borned in. That's right.
E-48 God sent His mirrors, His--His expressed--expression of Hisself in the prophets, because the Word came to the prophets, and they expressed God there in the--their prophecy that God gave them. And now God expresses Himself through His Son, Christ Jesus, as He takes us in as adopted children and put His Spirit in us crying, "Abba, Father." See? Or in other words, "My God, my God." See? Then the Holy Spirit in us, Christ's Spirit expressing Jesus Christ, and the people look at you. See? And when they see hypocrisies and everything, no wonder you... We've lost our strength. The salt has lost its savour.
103 Like my hand here in a shadow. It's a shadow, only it's darker as my hand becomes more... It's a negative here, a positive here. As a negative and positive, it gets denser, and darker, darker, darker, and finally it claps together, and negative and positive becomes one.
That's when Church and Christ unites together as a Bride, with the same Spirit that was in Him will be upon Her, when that Church comes from justification, sanctification, baptism of the Holy Ghost, into the last days, and honing her down now for the coming of the Lord.
Oh, don't be the rough part on It, Pentecostal brother. Shine up with the Word and believe every bit of It. Don't get out into these ism's and things, as we see going on today. Don't be astonished at that, because the Headstone's coming, crying, "Abba, Father," pretty soon, "My God. My God." Yes, I believe that with all my heart.
Do you see it? You know what I mean? It's Christ now taking the rags of yesterday, the Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian, and so forth, and He's putting it through a process. What kind of a process? A process of the Holy Spirit: what they had plus, making it till He is pressing His Own image, when the Church and Christ becomes one in union. God, grant it. I trust that you see it. If you do see it...
64 Now, the--now the next
thing you receive was the baptism of the Holy Ghost and Fire. Now, God, when
this millennium is over, God's going to give the world a baptism of fire. It's
going to blow the whole thing up. The heavens and earth will be on fire. Peter
said so. And the thing will have a baptism of fire, renovation of the whole
thing, and then there'll be a new heavens and a new earth. That's when--where
dwelleth righteousness. That's where we are... We have become from mortal
beings, from time beings to eternal beings when the Word of God lit our souls
and we become sons and daughters of God with the attributes, the gene of God in us to
be sons and daughters of the Father God in heaven, crying, "Abba, Father:
my God, my God." "In My Father's house..."
